Not your average hotel in Santa FePosted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: The reasonably priced hotel is within walking distance to all the shops and historic sites in Santa Fe.
Cons: Help finding and getting to the room would have been helpful. The elevator does not take you to the 2nd floor of units.
Location: The location is perfect and just a block of so from the historic Plaza which had entertainment and colorful natives.
Very nice interesting hotel right near the action and the historic plaza in beautiful Santa Fe. You can walk to everything. The room was wonderful. Open beam, vaulted ceilings, fireplace, balcony with French doors overlooking the courtyard. It seems they promote and celebrate the Mexican traditions with decor, color and attitude. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Great boutique hotel close to many attractionsPosted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Charming southwest décor; plenty of space in the room; good bed.
Location: Perfect location within a minute or two walk of the main plaza in Santa Fe. Great shopping, museums and historical sites of interest all nearby.
We enjoyed a spacious room that had great charm and good amenities. There was even a small table and chairs on the patio outside our room that we used for breakfast one morning we were there.

Early June 2015Posted Jun 10, 2015
Cons: Needs to be upgraded.
Location: Two minute walk to Santa Fe Plaza and many excellent restaurants within walking distance.
Stayed four nights. AC did not work the first three nights. Had to ask for a fan and another guest asked for a fan and was told they didn't have any. They bought their own. No excuse for an upscale property. One of our bedroom windows wouldn't stay open, bathroom sink faucet and handles were loose. To top things oo after no AC for 3 nights our sheets were not changed during stay. Hotel did reduce overall charges to accommodate our concerns.

Lovely and charmingPosted Jun 2, 2015
This conveniently located hotel offers a true old Santa Fe charm. The lobby is decorated with classic iconic images and local crafts. The staff was helpful and courteous. We applaud the hotel's effort to acknowledge the history and culture of New Mexico and its efforts to give back to the community of Chimayo.

Stay for the locationPosted May 30, 2015
It was nice being less than a block from the Square. It wasn't nice to have little parking for hotel guests (be prepared to pay even for spaces owned by the Hotel). The hotel didn't have air conditioning turned on and every room (common areas included) were hot and stuffy.

Very unique hotel, architecture was very nice.Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: Archtecture, courtyard
Cons: Fix the AC and new windows
Location: location was great
hotel was nice but rooms were dated . Room was very hot, tried AC but would not cool room off. Tried to open windows but only one of two would open, one was nailed shut. That did help cool off the room. Very Very Small bath room.

Quaint hotel in Old Town Santa FePosted May 19, 2015
Enjoyed 2 nights at Hotel Chimayo while visiting Santa Fe. Loved the jr suite with small refrigerator. A microwave would be a great additive. The hotel has a great location and old Santa Fe feel to it. Quiet setting and loved the courtyard outside our front door.

Simply Santa FePosted May 18, 2015
The family enjoyed the weekend in Santa Fe and the hotel was right in the middle of all the action and restaurants. The parking was convenient and worth the price. We were just steps from the plaza. The hotel decor featured the colorful New Mexico santos, woven rugs and lovely woodwork.

Three night business tripPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Location Location Location. Good rate. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
Cons: New TVs.
Location: See above.
While it took a few tries to find my room, once I did I had a very enjoyable stay. The room was well kept and clean, and conveyed a comfortable New Mexico atmosphere from the bedding to the lighting to the decorations. The location could not have been better, as the hotel is a minute's walk from the the central plaza. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go within 15 minutes from the hotel, which made the stay very enjoyable. Numerous bars and restaurants were within 5 minutes, and Second Street Brewery was a quick 15 minute walk. The hotel bar is small but comfortable, though was not very "lively" while I was there. I would have liked a few more local beer selections on the tap line. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, though my interaction was limited to check in and check out. I would definitely stay here again. Though it wasnt a priority, I was a bit surprised to find an old CRT television in the room. As used to HDTV as I am now it made for watching pretty difficult. The toilet also frequently got stuck and ran for lengthy periods of time.
