it was in the heart of Santa Fe, close to shopping, food and churches.

Business

I was to be in town for less than 24 hours. When I arrived I asked the front desk to reserve a shuttle for morning and that did not happen. I ended up needing a taxi. The restaurant attached is more like a bar and someone without transportation will end up ordering pizza.

Great hotel, quaint, and comfortable. Easy walking to plaza. Will stay there agsin only for a special occasion because it was pricey. But you pay for location and it is Santa Fe

Great location - but...

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: Location. reading material in room, comfy, mostly clean room, little balcony, cute lobby(fireplace was only lit one nite),mag mirror, tea,etc
Cons: Free parking ! put some pine cones in flower pots in winter to make it look less depressing - run the heaters on front 'porch'
Location: Great Eats, shopping, museums and gallery row and even nice jogging along Alameda and to local park.
Perfect location for downtown(and CanyonRd galleries) experience, but I still can't understand why they charge extra for (underground)parking - our space went empty because it was cheaper to feed meters and use free parking available at various establishments we patronized - maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I still think parking should be free to guests of hotel! I also thought we'd get a room w/a fireplace(?!)that's the way it was advertised on expedia link and hotel website. Despite being off-season and our first stay@hotel, we got an upstairs room and had to climb 'our private' steep narrow stairs each time to reach our room - the door to room is heavy and closes automatically, so you enter narrow steep stairwell while door is 'trying to close on you' and your belongings. oh, and no freezer in room fridge:/ (or microwave)Also, it took a day for my iPhone5 to pick up their free WiFi

The hotel was clean and quiet, the latter of which is really important if you have to get work done.

Proximity

Posted Jan 20, 2015
I choose this hotel first of all because friends of mine had informed me that they had stayed there and were very impressed with the room and the hospitality. Secondly I liked the proximity of the hotel to museums, churches, restaurants and galleries. It was very to park in the underground parking lot and not worry about driving the rest of my stay. Just a very enjoyable stay overall.

Great location, close to the Plaza

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: What I liked most about the hotel was the location. The bed was also very comfortable, the room was nice and warm.
Cons: The room was dark, there were lights, but the lighting was dim even in the bathroom and sink areas. I would also have appreciated a hair dryer.
Location: Restaurants, shopping, museums, cooking classes, bookstores, coffee shops, the Plaza. A great place to stroll around - totally walkable area.
We were in Santa Fe for New Years Eve (which coincides with my husband's birthday). The hotel is just off of the Plaza, which makes it a super convenient location, within walking distance to just about everything, a lot of restaurants, museums, shops, etc. We stayed 4 nights.

Needs an update!

Pros: great location, very quiet, hotel bar was nice
Cons: mattress needs to be replaced, furnace fan is super loud, TV is ancient, fire alarm went off twice
Location: Great proximity to Santa Fe Plaza.
Pros: great location near the Plaza, quiet, covered parking (for a fee) Cons: old and sagging mattress in need of replacement, extremely loud furnace fan, smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel, ancient TV, dark room, fire alarm went off two nights during our stay

Christmas Three Day Weekend

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Great location close to the plaza and shopping. The room was noisy due to traffic and the heater fan that was way too loud. For the price everything was outdated, from the thermostat to the tube televisions. The place appeared to need a "face lift" for lack of a better description.
