In the Heart of Santa FePosted Sep 10, 2014
Cons: Our stay was pleasant
Location: We walked to the stores and restaurants in old Santa Fe. Very convenient
Hotel is well located, convenient to the Square. Room was comfortable, decorated in a style that harkens to historical images but with a clean, uncluttered effect. Very restful and quiet.

Perfect location!Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Courtyard style hotel with a grand front porch. Mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot and NEW mattresses!
Cons: Bathrooms are small and rooms a bit old but roomy and comfortable!
Location: Just steps from the Plaza, the center of Santa Fe!
Steps to the Plaza, shopping and food! Beautiful, clean neighborhood for morning run. Safe Garage parking. We were given an upgraded room upon arrival and a discounted rate because our balcony door wouldn't open. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. After seeing all of Santa Fe, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

great locationPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: location, quiet
Cons: decor, music piped onto patio
Location: near plaza, walkable to museums, plaza, restaurants, etc.
Great location, very comfy bed, nice service, un-inspired decor. Good for people with pets.

Steps a little high at the entrance. Time for a ramp or lower steps. Perfect location and staff. Bar was usually empty. Wrong music and too loud. Maybe out of place for downtown visitors. We enjoyed our room and will return.

Disappointing facility. Good location, but there are better options in the immediate vicinity.

Perfect locationPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Location, pet friendly
Very nice hotel in a great location. We were upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival which was a really nice touch. The only issue was that it put us on the second level with two dogs and a stroller and that was slightly inconvenient for potty breaks and going in and out of the room. However, the room itself was very pleasant. The AC unit was quite loud and didn't bother us but could bother others. You can't beat the location of this hotel though and they fact that they are pet friendly is really wonderful.

not my first rodeoPosted Jul 1, 2014
Cons: comfortable furniture in living room, don't let guests die from dehydration.
we could not get a bottle of water or a coke at either the bar or vending machines. most uncomfortable living room furniture. decent bed, staff couldn't care less.

Unfortunately, probably can't stay there again , most upper level rooms have no elevator access and too many flights of stairs for luggage.

OK Hotel, Centrally Located - Tired in MaintenancePosted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: Maintenance, guest amenities, room layouts, the addition of a breakfast café.
This hotel was certainly convenient in regard to location - it was only 300 feet from the front of the Palace of the Governors and the Central Plaza. There are many restaurants only 3, 4, and 5 minutes from the hotel, along with many shops. There is an underground parking garage in the basement of the hotel (for which they charged $16 per day) that was very handy and secure. That being said, the maintenance on the building was not the best. There was some pealing paint, floors that had not been well cleaned, and décor that was out of date. The hotel restaurant was permanently closed (although there was a hotel bar) which meant that you had to go to an outside restaurant even for breakfast. There was one computer available for guests to use, but it was in a very warm, converted closet, about 5 feet by 7 feet in size - one person working at a time. No fitness center, no pool, and no other amenities. Our room was nice, but it had a staircase in the MIDDLE of the room, leading down to - NOWHERE (Perhaps it was possible to rent rooms together in the downstairs to make sort of a suite. We didn't do this, so it just created a huge unusable area in the middle of our room that was a potential falling hazard when we got out of bed in the middle of the night.). In summation, a great location, but the building itself was a non-entity. I will try the other centrally located hotels in future visits to Santa Fe.
