“Great place to stay in Santa Fe”
The staff was extraordinarily nice. For instance, the doorman offered to help us to our room with our bags, and refused a tip! When we checked in, the clerk said they were out of the type of room we had reserved, so we got a free upgrade to a suite. The suite was very nicely furnished and roomy. The hotel had coffee machines on each floor in the morning and the coffee was very good. We ate breakfast both days at the hotel restaurant, and both days the breakfasts were very tasty, a reasonable prince, and served with enthusiasm. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the downtown, and the neighborhood seemed very safe and was pleasant. Would be happy to stay here anytime we visit Santa Fe.
“One of the best”
Wonderful stay from arrival through departure. Room was exquisite. Staff couldn't have been nicer. It will be our choice when we're looking for a luxury stay in Santa Fe
“Cozy Stay in Santa Fe”
The Santa Fe Hotel and Spa is a good place to stay in Santa Fe. It’s across the street from the train station so you can take the Rail Runner from Albuquerque and Tomisita's Restaurant next to the train station has some of the best New Mexican food around. The only minus we had at the hotel was our car was broken into and a couple of small electronic devises were taken, fortunately they didn't break a window. Speaking to the manager we were comped for the night's stay and will be more careful about leaving stuff exposed in the car. This is a common problem for northern New Mexico, so I don't blame the hotel. They were most sympathetic to our plight. We had dinner in the Amaya dining room at the hotel and the food and service was good. The hotel has a shuttle service that is covered in the $15.00 activity fee that is tacked on separate from Expedia's purchase price. The shuttle will take you to the major tourist sites in downtown Santa Fe. It was a bit dodge on our trip with the ice on the streets, when we took the shuttle but we survived the trip and it's better than walking. This was our third New Years' stay and we're doing it again next year.
“Hotel Santa Fe & Spa”
It was more than we expected it to be. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the morning coffee was superb. Overall a great stay was had by us and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
“A nice change!”
A great hotel experience. We had stayed many times in Santa Fe (at the same hotel) and last time was a huge disappointment, so we tried Hotel Santa Fe. It was lovely! Staff was courteous and attentive. Rooms were clean and well kept. AND the hotel was good value. Free coffee on every floor each morning, and Amaya, the restaurant, is amazing! The only thing to note is that this is a 'dog friendly' hotel. If you are not a dog person, be forewarned, this seems to be where most travelers seem to stay with their fuzzy friends...We will go back.
“Even the guests are friendly and happy to be there”
I stayed at Hotel Santa Fe several years ago, and it is just as pleasant a hotel now as it ever was. It has been superbly maintained and could be mistaken for a 2-3 year old property. It is clean and comfortable, the staff is extremely attentive and friendly, and their shuttle service around town is very reliable and responds rapidly. As we were thinking about calling to have the car pick us up on the plaza, the driver happened by and stopped as we waved him down. He was so friendly and non-chalant about having been able to pick us up at just the right moment, and simply asked where we would like to be taken. The lobby is such a pleasant place to enjoy complementary coffee or tea, and the kiva is warm and inviting. Even the guests were friendly and happy to be there. What more could one ask for in a reasonably priced hotel? I will most likely stay there when I return to the City Different.
“Great hotel for away from home”
Excellent, luxurious rooms and superb staff. Rooms are large, often small suites, with a small living room adjacent to spacious bedroom. Very comfortable rooms. Great experience. One shortcoming is that breakfast is available only at additional cost, a disadvantage if one is not a huge breakfast fan. There is a fixed price for continentals, and a higher price for sit down served breakfast. An additional daily fee of $15 is added to charges for availability of wireless, parking, and ostensibly as a charitable donation to various community agencies. Despite these drawbacks, it's a great hotel and certainly worth considering when comfortable lodgings with courteous, skillful staff is desired.
“Nice, good location, they provide transportation”
I was a little concerned after reading reviews about how the hotel hadn't been kept up recently. I found no evidence of this. Brought kids age 11 and 14, who enjoyed their stay. I found the $15 resort fee reasonable for what you get (internet and local transportation and more). We went during the week in April so not sure how good transportation would be on weekends. Longest wait time for pick-up we experienced was 15 minutes. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. One remembered me by name which was impressive. I usually stay at Marriott hotels. I thought this hotel was on par with Marriott with the exception of bedding. More pillows and a blanket instead of just a comforter would have been nice.
“They Spoiled Us”
We felt pampered and taken care of the 2 days we were there. From a roomy, comfortable suite, to the concierge, the desk clerks, the fitness room, and shuttle service, everything was designed to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Outdoor patio seating was very pleasant for breakfast. Location was great too, right across from great shopping and eating.
“Excellent Place”
Love this hotel. Beautiful rooms. Location very good.
