Room sizePosted Jun 17, 2015
The room was very clean and decorated lovely. But it was very small even to us and we are small people. It was hard to find a place to set two suitcases. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions of things to do in the area. We would stay at the Hotel St. Francis again but would go for a larger room. Everything so close to the hotel. We took advantage of using the pool at their sister hotel. Staff was very nice and we enjoyed just relaxing by the pool.

Good location; historic hotelPosted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Great location, close to shops and restaurants.
Cons: Provide a way to make coffee or tea in the rooms. Provide information about hotel services in the rooms.
Being an historic hotel, rooms are small but nice. Only issue was lack of any way to make coffee or tea in the room, and the restaurant was closed on Mondays (the morning I was there). This resulted in a long walk early in the morning looking for somewhere to get tea or coffee. (They did have coffee in the lobby, but I'm a tea drinker. And there was no cream or milk, just artificial creamer.)

Great location, so so roomsPosted May 30, 2015
We booked a deluxe King room but were sent to a double room. They corrected it but I don't know why they thought the new room was deluxe as it was very small and did not have the advertised bathrobes. Parking is $18 a day and minimal as is the case everywhere in Santa Fe. The bar was closed for a private event. So... Great location to everything on the plaza and very close to Cafe Pasquale which is a plus! It's just overpriced, but so is everything in downtown Santa Fe.

Perfect location in the heart of Santa Fe PlazaPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: History and location
Cons: Size of rooms
Location: Perfect location to everything in Santa Fe. Great restaurants nearby. Café Pascual's is a definite must for breakfast!
Made a reservation at this hotel based on its perfect location and history. A beautiful and historic hotel upon entering the lobby. One thing, the rooms are small, very small. How small you may ask? Upon opening the door to the bedroom, the corner of the bed is about a foot away. No sink in the bathroom, so it is in the main room. Only one mirror in the room. Even though the room is small, I thought it was cozy. Anyway, not much time was spent in the room during the trip. The bed was luscious and I fell into a deep sleep instantly. As a tip, try to get a room on the 3rd (highest) floor, as it is the quietist. I definitely recommend make a visit or two to the Secreto Lounge downstairs. They make excellent cocktails. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. Janel gave a great history about the hotel. The hotel is perfect walking distance to everything in the Santa Fe plaza. Parking was an extra fee, but well worth it. All in all, I would definitely return!

Southwest charm & peaceful settingPosted May 27, 2015
I've stayed here before, and love it every time. Beautiful rooms with big fluffy beds and quality craftsman touches. Nice bar & restaurant on premise and walking distance to everything.

Nice Hotel with a lot of characterPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: I loved the williness to help from the staff and the character of the hotel. This was the best part of our trip.
Cons: The parking. They have a small parking area but have access to the city parking facility across the street. Each time we wanted to leave, had to wait
Location: 10,000 waves was very relaxing, the Shed always has great food and the roof top bars to enjoy the sun and have a refreshing drink
The Hotel St. Francis was great. The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating upon check in. He went as far as asking what view we would like to have and reccomended some of his favorite rooms. We ended up staying on the 3rd floor with an awesome view of the church and the mountains. Although there have been upgrades made to the hotel, they have done a great job of keeping the rustic character of the hotel which was very appealing. Great hotel if you want to be right on the plaza and close to the stores, shops and museums.

Group stay at the St. Francis in Sante Fe.Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: It had character and it wasn't huge.
Cons: Lighting, especially for make up.
Location: Great location.
We booked 3 rooms for the six of us. Since we are older, we loved that we were so close to Museums, good food and shops. We all agreed lighting for doing make up was poor. We would suggest LED lighting for brighter light with a dimmer in case we wanted softer light. Charging our laptops and phones was a little dicey, the connections were loose. The Staff was very accommodating and congenial. The restaurant had good breakfasts and great dinner choices. Nice atmosphere, tasteful design.

Beautiful hotel with a great locationPosted May 11, 2015
A beautiful hotel right next to the historic plaza. Delicious estaurants and shops are within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel was gorgeous inside with religious and classy Southwestern design. The rooms were spacious with a gorgeous view of the mountains and plaza. We will be back!
