Good location, nice staff!

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the lobby is beautiful with a great fire place and a great bar.
Cons: The rooms desperately need updating and remodeling. Get the sink out of the bedroom and in the bathroom!!!
Location: Location is great. Close to good shopping and restaurants, but then again Santa Fe isn't very big so everything is close.
The staff were great and so was the bar, but that's where it all ended. I know it's a historic building, but the rooms just aren't up to standard. The floor was so crooked we had to prop the door on the TV cabinet open with a bottle or it would close. The room was nice size, but the bathroom sink was in the bedroom and the bathroom with a tub and toilet was so small you could hardly turn around and I a really small person. I'll go back to the bar for sure, but there are so many other great hotels with nice rooms it would just be silly to stay there again. I had never stayed there before, but this for sure will be our last time. Oh and they had a new computer system that didn't communicate with the bar or restaurant so no room charging.

Great Place, except....

Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: Tastefully designed. Front porch. Location.
Cons: Hot water delivery.
Location: Central Santa Fe.
Beautiful older hotel in the heart of Santa Fe. Room was simple and tasteful. Loved the ability to open windows, increasingly rare these days in most hotels. However about the hot water situation. There was almost none. I understand it's an older hotel, however zero hot water. I let the faucet/shower run for an inordinate amount of time and still only maybe a degree or two above full cold. It was a somewhat disappointing end to my brief stay in Santa Fe.

Great location, staff... but

Posted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: location
Good: Location Staff Bad: Size: Our first room was the smallest room I had ever been in (Queen). I could literally touch both sides of the wall on one end of the room. I upgraded (for a price) to a king bed. Mattress: We moved from the first room because the Queen bed mattress was worn into a bowl. Two people basically rolled to the middle. After upgrading to a king, that mattress was worn out on each side too.

Needs some clever update

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, history, Secreto Bar a fave with locals and tourists, easy parking, great lobby and fireplace.....
Cons: Rooms need some clever updates; some "guest friendly" solutions implemented.
Location: The whole of the historic plaza, easy access to the mountains, the art studios of Canyon Drive and the museum district, and lots of great restaurants.
7 nights in a room with a woman with a bathroom that has but one shelve, 3" deep and 12" long, makes for a lot of "stuff shuffling" to keep the peace.

.need to clarify room sizes...

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Took my husband out for his birthday. ...got what showed to be a queen bed with deskseemed like a reasonable size room.....room was extremely small...bed very uncomfortable. ..not even a fitted sheet...there was literally no room for two people. ...no desk only a, bench to sit on directly under the TV...which I hit my head on more than one occasion. Over priced...and over rated...

The rooms are ridiculously small and suffocating.

Posted Nov 22, 2014
Pros: The location is good.
Cons: Since the rooms are so small, the furniture should be selected accordingly, which was not the case.
The rooms are ridiculously small and suffocating. Would never go back there.

Wonderful, classic hotel

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Convenient, absolutely clean, well appointed, comfortable, friendly
Cons: Make available to hotel guests good quality, complimentary coffee rather that a very wear brew from the adjoining restaurant served in a Styrofoam cup
Location: Walking distance to the old center, historic area of Santa Fe with its galleries, museums, restaurants, shops, etc

Gorgeous hotel in the centre of the historic city.

Wonderful experience. Jeremy and Alder at the front desk were great as were the bar and restaurant staff and our housekeeper. Warm and friendly staff in a beautiful hotel. I wish there was a St. Francis in every city I go to, but it's unique.
