Perfect location in the heart of Santa Fe PlazaPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: History and location
Cons: Size of rooms
Location: Perfect location to everything in Santa Fe. Great restaurants nearby. Café Pascual's is a definite must for breakfast!
Made a reservation at this hotel based on its perfect location and history. A beautiful and historic hotel upon entering the lobby. One thing, the rooms are small, very small. How small you may ask? Upon opening the door to the bedroom, the corner of the bed is about a foot away. No sink in the bathroom, so it is in the main room. Only one mirror in the room. Even though the room is small, I thought it was cozy. Anyway, not much time was spent in the room during the trip. The bed was luscious and I fell into a deep sleep instantly. As a tip, try to get a room on the 3rd (highest) floor, as it is the quietist. I definitely recommend make a visit or two to the Secreto Lounge downstairs. They make excellent cocktails. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. Janel gave a great history about the hotel. The hotel is perfect walking distance to everything in the Santa Fe plaza. Parking was an extra fee, but well worth it. All in all, I would definitely return!

Southwest charm & peaceful settingPosted May 27, 2015
I've stayed here before, and love it every time. Beautiful rooms with big fluffy beds and quality craftsman touches. Nice bar & restaurant on premise and walking distance to everything.

Nice Hotel with a lot of characterPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: I loved the williness to help from the staff and the character of the hotel. This was the best part of our trip.
Cons: The parking. They have a small parking area but have access to the city parking facility across the street. Each time we wanted to leave, had to wait
Location: 10,000 waves was very relaxing, the Shed always has great food and the roof top bars to enjoy the sun and have a refreshing drink
The Hotel St. Francis was great. The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating upon check in. He went as far as asking what view we would like to have and reccomended some of his favorite rooms. We ended up staying on the 3rd floor with an awesome view of the church and the mountains. Although there have been upgrades made to the hotel, they have done a great job of keeping the rustic character of the hotel which was very appealing. Great hotel if you want to be right on the plaza and close to the stores, shops and museums.

Group stay at the St. Francis in Sante Fe.Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: It had character and it wasn't huge.
Cons: Lighting, especially for make up.
Location: Great location.
We booked 3 rooms for the six of us. Since we are older, we loved that we were so close to Museums, good food and shops. We all agreed lighting for doing make up was poor. We would suggest LED lighting for brighter light with a dimmer in case we wanted softer light. Charging our laptops and phones was a little dicey, the connections were loose. The Staff was very accommodating and congenial. The restaurant had good breakfasts and great dinner choices. Nice atmosphere, tasteful design.

Historic hotel refurbishedPosted May 10, 2015
Pros: Close to everything.
Location: Plaza, museums, and great restaurants.
This historic hotel has been completely refurbished with a modern sensibility. Small room in keeping with the age but nicely done in modern style with southwest touches. Greeting was excellent with maps and information about the plaza. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location to plaza and museums.

Pros: Great location.
Location: Walking distance from the plaza with many great restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
The rooms are cramped and the bathroom sink was in the room in the open which was different. The restaurant was and the food was great. Great location, close to everything in the plaza.

Top floor perfectionPosted Apr 22, 2015
We had a top floor room and it was perfect. The floor creaks a bit so try to get the top floor. The restaraunt has the best breakfast for blocks. Romantic. Highly recommended for the price (under $175).

Beautiful and charming hotel in an ideal locationPosted Apr 8, 2015
The hotel was culturally relevant and architecturally magnificent. The room was clean and cozy and the staff was wonderful. The location was ideal for walking the city and exploring Santa Fe. I would highly recommend it and I know where staying next time I go to that beautiful city!
