Nice Sunday Stay in Downtown Sante Fe

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Picked the Inn for an overnighter in Sante Fe. Great staff and ideal location for a lazy afternoon downtown. Hotel showing some signs of age and our room was a bit small but all in all a nice play to stay

Pros: Flower boxes. Breakfast is hard to beat. Excellent maid service
Cons: Expedia should be on top of things such as no swimming pool as advertised.
Location: Exciting location smack dab in the middle.
We've stay here over the last twenty-five years, but this year we were disappointed. The place seemed tired. Our big disappointment was the swimming pool was being revamped and was under construction. We had planned some of our trip around the pool. We were not advised of this situation before or during our booking. Close to town, but our elevation was noisy, especially commute traffic and motorcycles. We will look elsewhere in the future.

Pros: Cozy room, always came back to a clean and well stocked room.
Cons: The swimming pool was under cionstrustion.
Location: Near to museums and local shopping... I walked everywhere and it was easy
Courteous staff helpful with information about and around Santa Fe. Great location, safe and quiet.

Location good...the rest not so much.

Pros: The location was very convenient, within walking distance of the center, shops, etc. Service personnel (except for Charlene) was adequate.
Cons: Training for service personnel. Bellman service for the motel annex. My husband carried bags down the steps for a woman with back problems.
Location: The entire center of town is easily accessible. Restaurants, shopping, museums and an artists fair on the weekend made the trip lovely.
When we checked in, the desk clerk was brusque to the point of rudeness. The woman who took our bags for us (up 7-8 stairs and across the parking lot) was so helpful that it somewhat saved our attitude about the hotel. However, we were placed in what appeared to be an old motel across the way from the main hotel, with all the check-in, check out traffic and the window didn't even give a look at the sky. The adjoining restaurant was nice, but very noisy. we received breakfast vouchers and the food was very good. I think we were shuttled off to the annex because we had booked with Expedia. Next time I will probably go through the hotel.

Check construction status before booking!

Posted Jun 10, 2015
The room was clean, the staff friendly, helpful and informed, the breakfast excellent, but the work crew started early and woke us with their hammering, sawing and piercing beep-beep-beeps from some large machine that was digging or backing up relentlessly. I'm sure the pool will be nice when its done, but guests should be informed about construction, and the rates should be lowered while its in progress. As part of the upgrade, I hope they'll consider replacing the mattresses--overuse has made them more like hammocks than beds.

Great Hotel

Pros: See above
Cons: Not a whole lot.
Location: See above
This hotel was reasonably priced, close to the plaza and canyon street art. They also had free parking. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to others.
