Pros: Cozy room, always came back to a clean and well stocked room.
Cons: The swimming pool was under cionstrustion.
Location: Near to museums and local shopping... I walked everywhere and it was easy
Courteous staff helpful with information about and around Santa Fe. Great location, safe and quiet.

Location good...the rest not so much.Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: The location was very convenient, within walking distance of the center, shops, etc. Service personnel (except for Charlene) was adequate.
Cons: Training for service personnel. Bellman service for the motel annex. My husband carried bags down the steps for a woman with back problems.
Location: The entire center of town is easily accessible. Restaurants, shopping, museums and an artists fair on the weekend made the trip lovely.
When we checked in, the desk clerk was brusque to the point of rudeness. The woman who took our bags for us (up 7-8 stairs and across the parking lot) was so helpful that it somewhat saved our attitude about the hotel. However, we were placed in what appeared to be an old motel across the way from the main hotel, with all the check-in, check out traffic and the window didn't even give a look at the sky. The adjoining restaurant was nice, but very noisy. we received breakfast vouchers and the food was very good. I think we were shuttled off to the annex because we had booked with Expedia. Next time I will probably go through the hotel.

Check construction status before booking!Posted Jun 10, 2015
The room was clean, the staff friendly, helpful and informed, the breakfast excellent, but the work crew started early and woke us with their hammering, sawing and piercing beep-beep-beeps from some large machine that was digging or backing up relentlessly. I'm sure the pool will be nice when its done, but guests should be informed about construction, and the rates should be lowered while its in progress. As part of the upgrade, I hope they'll consider replacing the mattresses--overuse has made them more like hammocks than beds.

Great HotelPosted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Not a whole lot.
Location: See above
This hotel was reasonably priced, close to the plaza and canyon street art. They also had free parking. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to others.

Only one nightPosted Jun 4, 2015
Cons: Can't say
Location: As above! Perfect location.
Loved this hotel, the staff, the comfortable room, the breakfast (vast, I had to hold back) and wish we could have stayed for many more days. Parking is tight but at least it exists and you cannot improve on the downtown location. Keep up the wonderful work Inn of the Governors!

Quaint, European feel.Posted May 19, 2015
We usually don't spend this much for a hotel room but decided to splurge this one night. Glad we did. Hotel had a very warm, old European feel. Outside the balcony, there were window boxes with real flowers! Room was very nicely appointed. We will always remember the ambience, which is worth the extra bucks. Food was very good and staff very accommodating.

Excellent!Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Location, decor, cleanliness, staff, price.
Location: Close to Plaza, down the block from Cafe Pasqual (amazing!).
I booked two rooms - one for my friends and one for myself. They stayed in a supreme room and loved it. There was a fireplace and a king bed and it was perfect for a romantic weekend. My room had two queen beds, no fireplace and we loved it. It was decorated tastefully with that Santa Fe style, but didn't go overboard. The beds were comfortable. Room was immaculately clean. There was a fridge and there was even room for the pack and play. My mother loved the tiles in the bathroom. My 18-month old was able to open the door which was concerning, but nothing to be done about that! We just watched carefully so he wouldn't slam it on his fingers. Staff was superb. Shirlyne (sp?) greeted us warmly and helped us to our room. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Margaritas at El Charro are ridiculously good. Parking was never a problem even in the evening and we were an easy walk to the plaza even pushing a stroller. Rate was reasonable. Overall, the trip was amazing and we all loved the hotel. Look forward to returning!
