Great location near the PlazaPosted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Free parking. Wonderful window boxes filled with flowers along all the balconies. Very welcoming. The breakfast was well done.
Location: Everything Santa Fe has to offer is within walking distance -- museums, galleries, hotels, restaurants, shops.
We arrived after Labor Day thinking it would be a more quiet time to see the sights of Santa Fe. Unfortunately, it was the beginning of "Fiesta" -- a week long local celebration that seemed to have a lot to do with rowdy drinking late at night at the hotel bar. Noise was disruptive until about 3 am. Not the fault of the hotel, of course, but we would have changed dates if the web site had mentioned the event. Otherwise, it is a pleasant hotel -- clean and welcoming, and close to everything the town has to offer. I would gladly stay there again.

Friendly staff, great locationPosted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Location, staff. No evidence of bedbugs - always a plus on our list
Cons: Better mattresses. Almost anything would be better than what we slept on.
Location: Just one block from the Plaza. Easy to find. Plenty of things to do nearby - do a search for Santa Fe Plaza to find out more.
Pros: Extremely friendly staff, great location, clean room, great breakfast. Cons: Very tight parking, although many are covered. Very uncomfortable mattress. It would be difficult to stay more than a night or two. However, if we find ourselves in downtown Santa Fe, we would have no problem staying there again. For a night or two, anyway.....

Spend the extra and upgrade.Posted Aug 3, 2014
One wing of rooms is really a motel and the door between rooms does nothing to cut the sound. I upgraded and spent the extra $40 for a larger, quieter, better quality room. Santa Fe is an expensive city to visit so be prepared for a little sticker shock. Location was good.

Great hotel close to everythingPosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: The personnel super friendly and helpful, clean rooms, liked to have solid breakfast buffet included, very welcoming to families with children
Cons: Maybe some back ground music in the morning for breakfast and afternoon happy hour
Location: Close to the plaza in Santa Fe, all galleries, shops great restaurants in walking distance, lots of sightseeing possible, again, in walking distance
Loved the friendly welcoming atmosphere, lobby feels like a big family living room, easy to make friends especially during free afternoon sherry and tea time

Excellent except for some street noisePosted Jul 1, 2014
Check in went well. Parking the first night was easy. The room was beautiful and had lots of nice amenities. A refrigerator, robes, excellent bedding, and a nice selection of toiletries. Street noise was a small problem -- mostly motorcycles, but they did not come by very often. The location is great. It is a short walk to all of the interesting places such as the plaza, O'Keefe museum, St Francis Cathedral, many restaurants, etc. Breakfast and afternoon tea/sherry were very good too.

Close to the plaza but not in the thick of thingsPosted Jun 30, 2014
Cons: The parking was a little cramped but it was included and once we parked, we could walk anywhere downtown.
Location: A short walk from the plaza, restaurants and museums.
The hotel was a reasonable price for a family of four with an excellent breakfast each morning that was included. The rooms were quiet and well taken care off. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the kids loved the Tea and cookie hour (they also had Sherry for the adults) every afternoon. The pool was small but private and a nice way to relax after a day of sight seeing. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Stay In Sante FEPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Everything. Especially the location. Walk everywhere!
Cons: The pool had some orange cones around an area the whole time we were there. We didn't care for that. An elevator would be helpful.
Location: Everything...the Plaza and the Indian sellers & any restaurant you could want...walking distance
We always stay at The Inn Of The Governors! We love the location, the staff and the quaintness of the place. It is the only place we will ever stay in SF! And have recommended it to several people.
