Great location and beautiful hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. The rooms and amenities were great. The only negative was that the walls were a bit thin.

Great Hotel. Wonderful ambient.

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Down stair lobby, restaurants, shops and fireplaces were wonderful.
Love the hotel. Down stair lobby, restaurants, shops and fireplaces were wonderful. A little missed understanding that we suppose to have foldout couch. They did bring a foldout bed which make the room was a little tight. We did not spend much time in the room because the amenities downstairs were wonderful.

One of the last Fred Harvey Hotels

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Loved the renovated room. Still has Mary Colter charm. Combined the La Fonda visit with a the New Mexico History Museum's Fred Harvey display. Santa Fe always has something new. We have been visiting for 20 years and this visit to La Fonda will be one of our favorites.

Great place if you want to be in the action

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Location: Right off the square in downtown Santa Fe where there are numerous shops, galleries and great restaurants
Beatifically restored historic building right off the square. Lobby features great shops, 2 very good restaurants and a french bakery. This hotel is a major tourist spot so expect lots of crowds in the lobby and long waits for the restaurants. By the third day we got tired of the crowds in the lobby but overall this hotel is terrific. Great hotel staff and loved the decor in the rooms.

From the time we arrived until the time we left, everything was great. Our balcony was quite small, but the views were awesome.

Lovely hotel with eclectic art and rich history

Posted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: Quirky art and excellent staff.
Cons: Refrigerator did not work in our room. We mentioned it but that didn't change the situation.
Location: Walking distance to regional points of interest, good shopping and EXCELLENT food.
One of the most elegant rooms we've stayed in for the price. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
