Property Amenities
La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa, A RockResort, is constructed around the Victorian Staab House. Courtyards and patios dot the property; fountains, benches, ancient fruit trees, cottonwoods, and elms complement newer landscaping and drought-tolerant plants. Inside, the lobby offers fireside seating and showcases a mix of Victorian influences and Santa Fe's trademark adobe style—this area is where complimentary art talks, shopping preview programs, and informal lectures about the city's history are presented. Up a few stairs is a stained-glass rose window and the Victorian-style Staab House bar and saloon. There is also a library where an original wood floor showcases star designs. Paintings, sculpture, and photography on loan from Santa Fe's leading galleries hang in hallways, public spaces, and guestrooms.
The 4,500-square-foot RockResorts Spa offers massage, body treatments, facials, and hair/nail care. The adjoining fitness center features a steam room, free weights, and cardiovascular and resistance equipment. An outdoor heated pool and spa tub are also on site (available seasonally). Wireless Internet access is available throughout the resort and included in the resort fee.
This is a smoke-free resort. All guests are responsible for paying the property's daily resort fee of $30.00 per room upon check-out. This taxable daily resort fee includes parking, Internet access, and other services and amenities.
Rooms
This Santa Fe resort offers 157 guestrooms, renovated in May 2008. Each unit is different, but all accommodations are decorated in adobe-style with Southwestern furnishings. Many rooms have vigas (round beams) or square beams in the ceiling; skylights, and Mexican Saltillo tile. Hardwood floors are decorated with rugs crafted by area weavers.
Amenities include writing desks, armoires, minibars with refrigerators, complimentary bottled water, CD players, and complimentary wireless Internet access. Deluxe Rooms also feature patios and/or working fireplaces (stack of wood is provided).
Mexican tiled bathrooms have large, lighted makeup/shaving mirrors and are stocked with Avanyu Spa toiletries. Bathrobes are also provided. Most bathrooms were upgraded in 2006.
All guestrooms are nonsmoking.

“Hidden fees”
There is a $30.00 a day "resort" fee which is a rip off. They should just tell you up front that the room rate is $30 a day more. Makes RockResorts look dishonest!
“Excellent Stay”
Really enjoyed it. The location and room were perfect and quite unique. Hotel staff were dedicated and friendly. Highly reccommend.
“Very nice...”
The hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the plaza. Nice accommodations. Great dinner at the Staab House! Very nice service staff too. I enjoyed it.
“Excellent loction and services”
Great location...three blocks from the plaza and close to O'Keefe Museum, Churches, and museums and restaurants. Great service. I would stay there agin when visiting Santa Fe.
“What a great find!”
My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by La Posada! The grounds are wonderfully manicured and the little casitas are very charming and authentic inside. At the time of our visit, we didn't have a car. However, La Posada has a shuttle that will take you any where you would like to go within a two mile radius, which worked out great for us! The staff that greeted you when you first arrived to the individuals checking you in made our staff very enjoyable. I would highly recommend La Posada for those visiting Santa Fe!
“Not impressed!”
I was not pleased with the hotel. I spent alot of time looking for the best hotel for a girl's trip to Santa Fe and this was not it! The common area was beautiful and the grounds as well, but the rooms need a huge amount of TLC! I wouldn't stay there again!
“Santa Fe's finest”
Have stayed here before, and will definitely go back again. Great location, just two blocks from the of Santa Fe, so quiet AND accessible. Great rooms, very quiet and peaceful. And also very close to all the galleries on Canyon Road.
“Great Hotel " Can't wait to go back"”
A wonderful hotel. The staff was the best part of our stay. Always available, to offer advice about places to see, places to eat and shop. Provided maps and directions. A van service available to take you anywhere you wanted to go within a 2 mile radius. After walking Santa Fe all day by evening we really enjoyed this service. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and the cafe had a wonderful breakfast (great waffles). The turn down service at night with the chocolates was very sweet to return to after a long day of walking and sight seeing. A must go to hotel for your stay in Santa Fe.
“I would go back, but ...”
I stayed for five days at La Posada in August. The grounds and buildings are lovely, and the location is ideal for visiting the plaza, shops, museums, and restaurants of downtown Santa Fe: within easy walking distance but far enough away to avoid crowds and noise. I specifically asked for and received a "Premier Patio Room." The room was located upstairs in a separate adobe building with a large, secluded patio overlooking a fountain courtyard. Unfortunately, the concrete of the patio was chipped and broken in several places. The room itself was not large, but was nicely decorated and comfortable (especially the king-sized bed), with many windows that could be opened. The rug, however, was stained in several places and needed a good cleaning. At these prices, I would have expected better.
“one of Santa Fe's finest”
Beautiful hotel, great gardens fantastic staff, excellent food, if pricey.
