Thank you for your review! You are CORRECT, we are NOT a B&B, just a small 18 room historic inn, circa 1800s. We are not sure where you got B&B from, as our website and 3rd party websites do NOT offer any kind of breakfast, but are within a one to two block walk to restaurants and shops. Please always call any hotel property for clarification and to answer any questions you may have BEFORE booking any reservations, to avoid any future disappointment.

Hi Pamela,Thank you very much for the outstanding review about not only our historic downtown SF property, but the excellent customer services our entire staff provided during your stay.We had to really hunt for your reservation, using only your first name, so that we could figure out which guestroom you were talking about in need of a new headboard.As for our mattresses, ALL of our guestrooms were recently renovated and have new top of the line CASPER pillowtop mattresses. Our mattresses are very soft and cloud-like, so if you are used to a firm mattress, our pillowtop mattresses may not be to your liking, although we have many guests asking us where they can purchase our CASPER mattresses.In the future, at any property you stay at, please let the helpful staff know of any requests, suggestions, or concerns you may have during your stay, so that they may have the opportunity to correct or fix the issue as soon as possible, instead of having to figure things out from reading a past guest review. We love your suggestion for a replacement headboard.
