Good little Santa Fe spot to pivot from

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Great location, fair price, terrific breakfast. Cramped casita. #20 not worth the upgrade though I understand some of the other casitas are worth the upgrade. Overall would totally recommend. When we got there they told us our credit card had been rejected but when we gave it to them again it worked fine. It made me a little concerned why neither Expedia or the hotel had mentioned this to us before we arrived. It would have been a bad surprise to find out we had no room.

The best, modest, close to everything, motel in Sa

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect
Location: I described everything in my experience. Location, price, everything was perfect.
I booked a Casita, one of the little apartment type rooms for myself and my dog. I am 54 years old and I almost cried with delight when I entered the room after a half country trip from Key West. Stayed 4 nights while my car got worked on at Subaru. Huge King bed, desk, drawers, exposed rafters, terra cotta tile floors, ceiling fan, little touches like red chile peppers placed on the towels, a rubber duck by the tub, a yoga mat, cotton balls and q tips, extra blankets, a good sized fridge and new microwave, lots of hot water, quiet quiet quiet as the casitas are around the side off a residential back road. Right across the street from the Railyard area with galleries and walking trails, close to downtown, a food market across the street, Trader Joes and Whole Foods 5 minutes away, the breakfasts were awesome, eggs, sausage, beans, chilies, tortillas bred, fruit, the cleaning staff never bothered you but seemed to quietly out of sight wait until you left the room to clean. Sitting area outside the casita with chairs and table....

Wonderful staff, tight quarters.

Pros: The staff.
Cons: The size of the bathroom.
Location: We were not able to stay long, but the location seemed great and within walking distance to a lot of great sites.
We got caught in a snow storm on our way to the resort and the staff called and asked if we going to make it and how we were. They graciously put a note on the office door and a key in the lock box for us. We did get in very late and it was a delight to have a room. In the morning we were greeted with a warm welcome and a wonderful breakfast.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room felt more like a home than a hotel. The breakfast was normal.

Amazing breakfast and nice location

Posted Feb 7, 2015
The breakfast spread was really good! They had fresh fruits and breakfast burrito ingredients that were amazing! Breads, yougurt, practically anything you would want. The room was nice...nothing too spectacular, but clean and nice. There was not a desk, so it wasn't the best for my work trip, but I was able to set up a makeshift desk with the chair and nightstand, so it worked just fine.

When things go wrong ...

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: Great location, clean, comfortable, friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast, excellent value. I liked the radiant heat in the winter. It's quiet!
Cons: They could put the manager's 24-hour emergency telephone number on the information sheet in the room.
Location: 2 blocks from train depot, excellent restaurants within one block, short walking distance to historic plaza & galleries on Canyon.
You can tell a lot about a place when something goes wrong. We booked 3 nights & the 2nd night we had a 2 am water leak over the bed. The office was closed, so we moved a desk, unlocked the king bed's wheels & it rolled easily out from under the leak. Towels kept the water under control until morning. It was IMMACULATELY clean under the furniture. Had I walked to the office, the managers 24-hr emergency number was posted on the door. In the morning, the staff was very attentive & responded immediately. They upgraded us to a new room & compensated us for our trouble. Overall, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful with excellent recommendations for restaurants & other Santa Fe attractions. Breakfast was good too. Great location: We rode the RailRunner train from Albuquerque, walked the short distance to our accommodation & all of the historic plaza attractions are within walking distance. We didn't even rent a car. We will stay there again on our next visit.
