Clean but not furnished

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Had a kitchenette but no utensils. Had to ask for and go get hair dryers. Had to ask for and go get enough towels. The women staff were very nice and friendly and helpful. The men not so much.

Dog Friendly Motel

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The location was very good.
Cons: Complete renovation.
Location: Shopping.
Carpet had big stains, I was reticent to walk barefoot. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom towel rack was hung crooked. The hair dryer was missing. Exterior of motel was charming but interior was badly in need of updating.

A great disappointment.

Pros: The price - half off during peak season in Santa Fe.
Cons: Better maintenance of the facility. Improve the bedding. Better attitude of front desk staff.
Location: Santa Fe is fabulous, with the Opera and Chamber Music Festival both in full swing in August, Indian Market right around teh corner, vibrant arts scen
We had stayed at this facility in the past and were pleased. However, this stay was very disappointing in spite of the good rate. Santa Fe in mid-August can be downright hot. Our room was never cool enough. Upon sheck in we told the front desk person our air conditioner was not working. After 2 visits to the front desk, he finally had someone look at the air conditioning unit. It was supposedly "fixed" but never was able to cool the room down, over 2 days and nights. Also, the faucet fixture on the kitchen sink was loose and moved around every time the faucet was used. The "continental breakfast" had no protein, and the coffee had no flavor. This facility used to be a great value, but we would hesitate to stay there again.

Will not stay again. Old mattress, dirty shower, filthy carpet, towels take many hours to be replaced :-(

Nice hotel

Rooms are setup for extended stays. Has full kitchenette. Very reasonably priced by Santa Fe standards. Right next to a medium sized shopping mall. Convenient for getting groceries though not very picturesque.

Not so great!!

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Our room smelt like a mixture of pee and throw up! There were cobwebs in the corner of the kitchen! They were supposed to provide cookware and there were no pots or pans or cooking utensils! The hotel attendant told us to check with him later and see if he could find something for us and it was already dinner time and all he gave us was a spoon! The towels were just thrown on the shelf and dirty! We chose to sleep in top of the covers cause we were afraid what was under the comforter! Lucky we had a blanket in the car! We won't stay there again!

Confusing Experience

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The staff
Cons: Real locks on the doors
Location: Close to Hwy. Restaurants and stores within walking distance.
The staff was extremely helpful and moved us immediately when I complained about our neighbors. Apparently, some construction workers were staying there for several days and were having a Friday night party out of their room. As a mom on a long road trip with two kids, loud voices, doors slamming and men smoking outside my door were NOT what I was comfortable with. The manager himself escorted me back to the room to remove our stuff and relocate into another room in a section full of older couples, families and single people with dogs. Perfect. The room was quiet even though it was close to the highway. Food and shopping options were close and convenient for reloading the car for the last of our trip. The room itself was OK. Very much a motel feel about it. I did NOT like that the door only had the electronic key lock. Isn't it mandatory to have a deadbolt or hotel bar? This itself made it difficult for me to sleep. The "Queen" sized pull-out couch mentioned in the ad was very much a twin so one of the kids slept on the floor which was in dire need of a wash. Luckily, we had extra blankets and a sleeping bag for that part.
