Room was a little worn at edges. It was fine but not as a 4 star hotel

Small, clean and relaxing!Posted Apr 22, 2015
Location: Great location; walking distance to everything in downtown Santa Fe.
We enjoyed the stay very much. The bathroom is very small but clean. Bed comfortable and the decor is wonderful! Staff in front office could not be nicer.

overall, nice hotel, great location, near plazaPosted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Great location, spacious clean room, great place!
Cons: Shower didn't work well, it was a tub/ shower and the shower head only worked at about 70%, the rest was coming out the bath spout.
Location: Great location, walk to everything!
My wife and I went to Santa Fe for a long weekend, great time at Vanessie. The room (#7) was great, comfy, spacious, very nice!

PerfectPosted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Southwestern style, well-appointed, has everything.
Location: Everything is just a short walk away. Santa Fe is a walking town, so that's important.
Lovely, just a block from plaza, close but quiet. No charge for internet, for parking, and terrific breakfast included. Very nice, gracious staff. The restaurant is so good, and the nightly entertainment is incredible. Highly, highly recommended.

Cons: There's a fine line between "old town charm" and "run down."
This room would be too small for more than one person. Furniture was too big for the room (Jemez) so there was little room to even put a suitcase. The combination heat-A/C unit only produced heat....tried to cool the room by opening the windows but they wouldn't stay open. Locks didn't work very well, bathroom was poorly lit. This room is right next to the restaurant which has live music, so getting to sleep early was not an option....since there was a no refund policy, I went & stayed at the Hilton across the street on points since I had an important morning meetings the last 2 days of my trip.

Great Boutique HotelPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: The personal service is great. We were personally escorted to our room by the manager.
Location: The Hotel is quiet and while it is about three blocks from the Plaza, everything is whithin walking distance.
The rooms are spacious, comfortably, well decorated and clean. There is a restaurant on site and the breakfast is a little more than "continental". We would certainly stay again the next time we visit Santa Fe.

Great Room and LocationPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: The room was incredibly nice and clean.
Cons: Because of the time of year and it still being quite chilly, the grounds did not appear to be all that nice.
The room and the staff was excellent. The woman who check us in gave us some ideas of things to do in the area. The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful when we asked for some additional bottles of water.

Nice departure from usual hotel chainsPosted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Nice atmosphere, reflecting the history of the region. Location and free parking are real benefits Staff recommendations for sights to see
Cons: Internet access did not work
Location: Close to the Plaza and museums
Excellent location, much more than the usual 'continental breakfast' with eggs and omeletes. Very friendly staff. Free parking in a tight parking setting was nice.

Santa Fe gemPosted Apr 12, 2015
Vanessie is a small hotel. 18 rooms run like a B and B. The most accommodating staff I have found in a hotel in a while. The room was on the smallish side but the sun room and private patio made for a very nice space. The restaurant is not to be missed!
