Room not available at the time of check in

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The large parking lot, the location, the inner decoration, the cleaniness, the silence, the continental breakfast
Cons: Having the rooms available at the time of the advertised check in
Location: I was so many times in Santa Fe that I even lost count. Each visit I learn something new. For this particular visit I went to the Santa Fe Opera.
The location of the hotel is excellent. The room and the restroom were very nicely decorated. Everything was at the right spot with a very pleasing impression. The parking lot was big enough to accommodate all guests. Latter is not something very easy to find in Santa Fe. However, there was a real problem in getting my room. Checking hours are from 1400 to 1700. I arrived at 1615 and was told that my room is not available. I was encouraged to go for a walk which I did not want to do as I just came from a walk. What I really wanted was to get my room, take a shower and rest for the evening program. I was told that the room might take another 30 minutes to be ready. In reality it was more than 45 minutes after which my patience came to an end. The room was still not done but I got an upgrade. By that time I was so angry that even this gesture did not cool done my anger.

Beautiful rooms in a parking lot

Posted Jun 28, 2014
This is a funny place with a mixed up identity. The rooms are beautiful (and so are the bathrooms) but it feels like a cross between a hotel and a B and B which sometimes feels like a motel. Every view from every window is of the parking lot, there is no lobby and not much service, and the jacuzzi is a fenced in plot off the parking lot. It's a 5-6 block walk through a non-descript neighborhood to the shops around the Main Square and the breakfast - unlike the B&B world - is nothing special. That said, in cooler weather the in-room fireplaces would be a big plus. We spent the day at the Inn at the Posada where you can use the nice small pool and good fitness center if you get a massage or other service, much more of a hotel resort atmosphere.

Nice hotel close to the places I visited.

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: The staff was very helpful and gentle and they made me feel really important! I loved the MUSIC with that wonderful pianist.
Cons: You need to update your TV sets, to include special cell phone chargers connections, to add DVD players and to get better shower systems.
Location: My purpose was to visit the historical chapels around the city including the cathedral and the Santuario de Chimayó . Everything was reachable.
Great customer service! The music was splendid! Great room for the price, but I would like to see an updated TV system to match with the quality of your beautiful hotel. Every people was so nice and gentle including the gardeners. Thank you very much for making my vacation worth it!

Great place to stay in Santa Fe

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: The fact that it is close to the Plaza and the restaurant and the bar
Cons: expand the facilities
Location: Santa Fe is great for Art, history, shopping and dining.
The hotel is close to the plaza-about 5 blks-the staff is very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are great with exceptional cuisine and fine entertainment. Try to catch Doug Montgomery on the piano if you can! The other guys are good as well. The Elk tenderloin is so tender you can cut it with a fork. The hotel is adding new things all of the time and it still remains a great place to stay.

Clean, Comfortable & Quiet

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: Comfort, location, quiet and cleanliness
Location: Georgia O'Keeffe Gallery, Bouche Rest across the street, Canyon Road full of galleries and old homes and gardens. Drive the Turquoise Trail and Taos.
Lovely room with lots of light and lots of wonderful art on the walls. Super comfortable bed with beautiful linens. A wood burning fireplace which was handy because it snowed. New Mexico architecture made the stay even more lovely - it felt truly like a lovely, boutique hotel.

More like a B & B

Posted May 15, 2014
Location: It is a short walk from the main square.
Friendly staff and spacious rooms. They advertised a continental breakfast but after fresh berries, yogurt and bagels they asked if I would like scrambled eggs or an omelet. Nice!

Great Location, Quiet Surroundings

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: We liked the small size of the hotel, the way the rooms were furnished and appointed, and the quiet ambiance.
Cons: We arrived on a warm day for May, and wanted the room cooler, but did not get instructions on the remote for the A/C. Would have helped.
The Inn at Vannessie was even more than we expected. When we arrived, we were told we had been upgraded to one of the suites, and it was super. Very comfortable. Breakfast was good, but the hotel also has a great bar and music. We were within walking distance of the Plaza, and the O'keefe museum, as well as the Railyard.

Beautiful room

Posted May 4, 2014
A few blocks walk to town, so not for those who can't walk. Room was beautiful - one of the nicest we've seen. Service is very minimal, but we didn't need anything so it didn't matter to us.

Short but Sweet

Posted May 4, 2014
We spent very little time at the hotel. The location was excellent. Tucked away in a side street close to the plaza. The room was large with a wood burning kiva fireplace. There was plenty of firewood. The bathroom was also spacious with all the amenities including two bathrobes. We did not use the exercise room or hot tub.
