Trip to Santa Fe

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: It was nicer than most homes
Cons: nothing
Location: State Capital, oldest church in the US and lots of history and great eating places
The most perfect place I have ever stayed. Close to everything, loved it.

Nice but noisy.

Pros: Easy walk to the Plaza.
Location: Same as above.
Apparently the builder forgot to put in any sound deadening in the walls or roof/floor.

We loved every moment of our stay and wished it could've been longer. I'm only hoping that we can stay there again when we return because it was truly wonderful and the location was perfect. This is a very beautifulwell managed property.

Close to downtown but very reasonable price point!

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: Location, separate living area nice.
Cons: TV hi def and sofa comfort
Easy walking distance to plaza and restuarants. Walkable to canyon road probably a mile. Like having the kitchen for coffee in am and beverages. But you could cook if you wanted to - hard with so many great restaurant choices. Sleeper sofa in living room not so comfortable for sitting. Fireplace nice. TV not hi def.

Nice resort-hotel located near the Plaza

Posted Sep 21, 2014
We stayed here for a few nights while in town for a wedding. We didn't haven't time to explore Santa Fe, but it was within a few minutes drive to the grocery store, gas station and other shopping as well as conveniently close to the wedding site on Palace. I heard that it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the Plaza. As far as the hotel service and condition-I felt safe there, the hotel staff was excellent (we needed a change of sheets and housekeeping was up with sheets within 5 minutes of my call!), the room and other hotel facilities were very clean (and I have HIGH cleanliness standards) and in good condition (1 light bulb out in a light and a cover plate missing on an outlet, otherwise would be excellent). Thank you Villas de Santa Fe for the pleasant stay!!! -Guest from Alaska

Loved this venue. Staff were prompt at meeting our needs. The room was immaculate. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of extras. Cannot believe anyone was shallow enough to complain.

Good room for the money in Santa Fe

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Price, cleanliness, location.
Clean room with enough space for three adults. Sofa sleeper was suitable for an adult and the bedroom could be closed off for privacy.

Treats Expedia customers as second class citizens

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: I could walk to the plaza downtown (about a 15-minute walk).
Cons: This is not really a resort--it is simply a very large suite-type hotel, with no amenities other than pool and exercise room.
Location: No restaurants or groceries at or near the hotel--you'll have to walk 10-15 minutes or drive to get breakfast.
The room I was given smelled smoky, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. I can't tolerate smoke odors, so I asked the front desk staff to move me to a different room. The staff member told me there were no other rooms available because I booked through Expedia. I then asked to be accommodated at another hotel. The staff member called two managers and was told that they could not do this because I booked and pre-paid through Expedia. They said I would have to contact Expedia, have them refund my payment, and then find another hotel on my own. This was unacceptable customer service. In the past, on the very rare cases when I've found my hotel room unacceptable, in the interest of good customer relations, the hotel has always found me another room, whether in their hotel or elsewhere, no matter how or where I made the reservation or how I paid. The only thing the hotel offered was to send in housekeeping to spray some deodorizer and open some windows, which did not eliminate the odor. They also offered to run a deionizer, but they said it would need to run an hour and I could not stay in the room (it takes the oxygen out of the air). It was bedtime and I had a long work day the next day, so this was not a viable option. I ended up spending a miserable night and was ill-prepared for a long work day the next day.

We are truly and sincerely sorry that your stay here at Villas De Santa Fe did not meet your expectations. It was very concerning for us to read that your accommodations had a smell of smoke. Our housekeeping team didn’t report any smell of smoke and we also confirmed that the next day with the room attendant. Nevertheless, we’re sorry you encountered this problem in the first place. We assure you that should there have been any availability to transfer you to another room or an upgrade you to a larger suite this would have been arranged for you, however, the resort was experiencing high occupancy rates. The historic area is only 5 blocks from the resort where you would have found several restaurants we’re sure you would have enjoyed. We are, of course; very sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment you may have experienced during your stay and should you wish to give you another chance, we would do our best to ensure that you have a great stay. We wish you all the best on your future travels.
