"Comfortable, close to everything"
This B & B has 65 units spread over several buildings with a rich history. Our room was nicely appointed. Shower showed some age in the tile corners, but everything else was great. The staff was FANTASTIC. They were accommodating, kind and friendly. They were all invested in their guests having a good time. Breakfast had live music, full-on omelets, fresh fruit, waffles, muffins and made to order coffee, espresso, latte etc. warm baked cookies in the afternoon. The grounds were quiet and clean. We felt very safe, as there were all women in our party. Someone was always available if you needed something. The windows opened to let fresh air in, and the AC did a great job of keeping us comfortable. There were places to sit outside to visit and relax. If we go back to Santa Fe, we will definitely stay here!

"Wish we'd stayed a week!"
We didn't know our room was a small apt with kitchenette and living/dining area. It was large enough to have stayed a week without getting "sick" of each other. Santa Fe offers many things to do so a longer stay would have been nice. Front desk staff(Colin and Ricardo) we're friendly and offered great suggestions for restaurants. The downside? We were above our price point at $160 per night and were tipped over by the added "resort fee" of $11.00 plus at check in. Upside? An easy 8 minute walk to the Plaza.

"Excellent"
The experience at this hotel starts the minute you get to the front desk and it just gets better by the second. We were on the first floor and as there was no ice maker on that floor the bar filled our request for ice even for the cooler. The pool is clean and tidy, Lots of lounge chairs, the rooms are spacious and clean. There are two people that we identified as over and above what they needed to do were Birdie the events coordinator and Frances at the front desk.

"Perfect location in Santa Fe."
I recently stayed for four nights - beautiful room with lovely Southwestern decor. The "Luminaria" restaurant is not to be missed - particularly in the summer when you can dine outside - very nice in the winter also with the fireplace - delicious food and gracious wait staff. Front desk clerks, parking attendants, concierge, housekeeping - all helpful and caring. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and will stay there again - have stayed here several times. When I lived in Santa Fe, we ate there often. The bar area has live entertainment.

"Excellent except for some street noise"
Check in went well. Parking the first night was easy. The room was beautiful and had lots of nice amenities. A refrigerator, robes, excellent bedding, and a nice selection of toiletries. Street noise was a small problem -- mostly motorcycles, but they did not come by very often. The location is great. It is a short walk to all of the interesting places such as the plaza, O'Keefe museum, St Francis Cathedral, many restaurants, etc. Breakfast and afternoon tea/sherry were very good too.

You can also wander the Plaza and stop for a nightcap in one of the many clubs which feature live music.

Reviews of Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza

“Newly remodeled, the hotel boasts comfortable rooms, a great breakfast, and a splendid location, just three short blocks from Santa Fe's plaza. Public spaces include a delightful wood-burning lobby fireplace and a giant gas log by the pool, making poolside comfortable in winter.”

“Hotel very attractive and comfortable and clean. Pool area very nice. Room well appointed. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Front desk staff well trained and pleasant to deal with. Central housekeeping services a bit inattentive, but this was corrected by the front desk. For a large chain, they certainly make their Santa Fe Historic District hotel fit in with the general ambiance. Would stay there again without question.”

“Location, location, location! Along with friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable staff. Attractive, sparkling clean throughout from the lobby to our rooms. We were four friends with two adjoining rooms on the lobby level. The hotel is very large and it was a fairly long walk to our rooms, but the bonus was that it was very quiet and relaxing, overlooking the beautiful heated pool and hot tub. The restaurant/ lounge on the same floor served up some very satisfactory food and drinks till ten each night. Would definitely return here.”

Reviews of The Lodge at Santa Fe

“We were quite pleased with the hotel staff who were friendly as well as helpful. The decor fit into our sense of what Santa Fe "should" look like. The staff were also helpful in terms of identifying our interests and directing us accordingly.”

“The hotel provided a great shuttle service to downtown Santa Fe for the Indian Market. The shuttle drivers were friendly and helpful. The staff was very professional and pleasant. Their politeness was welcomed after three days of traveling to get there.”

“We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see how nice the hotel was. The staff was so helpful and friendly. They provided us information on how and where to enjoy Santa Fe. The hotel provided van service, but we chose to drive into town. We stayed two nights and wished we could have spent more time in the hotel and Santa Fe.”

Reviews of The Bishop’s Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa

“Surrounded by beautiful grounds, this older resort offers something for everyone. We were offered tennis, horseback riding, and spa services. Unfortunately, we were only staying one night, so were unable to take advantage of these extras. The setting is pastoral with rolling hills, plentiful greenery, and interesting sculptures. The food and service were excellent. It is somewhat out of town, so easy access to Santa Fe is not possible. Also, it is in good condition for its age, but the rooms could use some renovation and updating.”

“We had reserved a superior deluxe king room, but was given one with two double beds. When we asked the front desk about switching, all they had available was a villa. They graciously moved us to a 2 bedroom/2 bath villa for two nights at the superior deluxe rate, which was around $500 less than this villa normal goes for. The staff was very friendly during our entire stay. The on-site restaurant is excellent! I had made online reservations and noted it was to celebrate our anniversary. Not only did they reserve us a table away from crowd, but also wished us happy anniversary as well. The waiter was excellent and offered great recommendations.”

“Lovely hotel. Beautiful, quiet, and with a variety of activities. It is close to the opera house and to beautiful downtown Santa Fe. Easy access to roads. The dining was exquisite with a wonderful head chef that greeted the guests. Rooms are comfortable, cozy, and beautiful.”

Reviews of Best Western Plus Inn of Santa Fe

“A chain hotel, but staff was very accommodating and it was a pleasant stay. And we were able to do a load of laundry, which was a 'big deal' on a 10-day vacation!”

“I wanted a place to stay in Santa Fe that was a bit nicer than the economy motels, but less expensive than the top tier. Best Western proved to be above my expectations at a reasonable price. It was everything I wanted and better than expected in quality.”

“We took our granddaughter to Santa Fe for spring break. She loved the indoor pool, which was clean and warm. We picked the hotel, because it had the pool since we knew it would be cool outside. We were all pleasantly surprised at the comfort of the hotel and the convenience to all attractions in the Santa Fe area. Having breakfast available was a plus. The only thing our granddaughter would add is hot chocolate in the breakfast offerings.”

    Reviews of Santa Fe Suites

“Excellent location for business travelers. Rooms are very inviting, and location is scenic.”

“It was a nice experience. Only one night, but it was close to several amenities i.e. gas, grocery and not far from the plaza area for night activities.”

“I have stayed at the Santa Fe Suites several times. It is a great value. It is not the fanciest place, but it is clean and convenient. There is plenty of free parking (which is not always the case in Santa Fe), all of the units are like studio apartments with kitchens, sofa beds, TV, and good size bathroom. The free breakfast is just oatmeal, cereal, toast, English Muffins, juice, and coffee, but there is plenty of it. There is a free computer in the lobby and free Internet throughout. A supermarket and lots of stores are within walking distance in the complex. The staff is very accommodating.”

    Reviews of Luxx Plaza Hotel

“Room was ready, very clean, calm environment, and had all the amenities I needed. I would definitely come back and stay here again.”

“This is the perfect place to be when seeing Santa Fe. Everything is a short walk from the hotel. There is no need to get the car out just to go parking place hunting. Luxx is located in an older building with all rooms at ground level. Room décor and the general feel of the place was charming.”

“You would never expect a really nice hotel based on the entrance doors on Marcy Street in Santa Fe. But the somewhat hidden lobby is somewhat charming and the room was wonderful: Clean, stylish, well-equipped. We had cable subscription, Blu-ray player, LED-TV, microwave with conventional oven, fridge. The room was large enough to fit a sizeable dog-bed with kennel and still have enough room to walk around the bed and the TV. We also liked that the door was a combination lock (keyless). That makes for less plastic in your pocket, if you can remember four digits. I have to say that I will recommend the Luxx for everyone who wants a nice, but affordable hotel close to the plaza. And it's a 'plus' that they have ECCO gelato and a nice sushi restaurant in the same building!”

Reviews of The Hacienda & Spa at Hotel Santa Fe

“The hotel was quiet, comfortable, and had a very relaxed atmosphere. The location was perfect for exploring Santa Fe and the staff could not have been any nicer.”

“We had a great stay at the Hacienda. Staff was always super pleasant and helpful. Our breakfast and happy hour were great, and the hotel shuttle was always available within minutes when we needed it.”

“The hotel was very comfortable and well kept. Comfy beds, fruit, and nice welcome letter upon arrival. Staff very helpful, shuttle service the best I've ever experienced, they promptly arrived when we needed them, and the drivers are all great and helpful.”

Reviews of The Inn at Vanessie

“We spent very little time at the hotel. The location was excellent. Tucked away in a side street close to the plaza. The room was large with a wood burning kiva fireplace. There was plenty of firewood. The bathroom was also spacious with all the amenities including two bathrobes. We did not use the exercise room or hot tub.”

“We stayed three nights here. The bed was very comfortable, the location was walkable for downtown, and the breakfasts were excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful.”

“We felt right at home. Nice amenities, very secure, and just a few blocks from the downtown plaza. We were very comfortable with comfy bed, sitting area, and access to a small fridge and coffee maker.”

Reviews of Inn on the Paseo

“We booked this B&B, because we wanted somewhere within walking distance of the Plaza and without parking charges. We got far more than this - the Inn is beautifully decorated and furnished, and the family and staff are delightful. Breakfasts were good and served in a family type setting. A very comfortable and charming place to stay.”

“Nice clean room, friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful porch, we sat and enjoyed the evening with our wine and snacks. We walked to town and walked to dinner. Nice!”

“This small, cozy hotel was wonderful. Walking distance to the plaza , cozy lounge with fireplace, sit-down served breakfast included, as well as snacks available nightly. Some rooms had outside seating. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.”

Reviews of Fort Marcy Hotel Suites

“This was a nice place to relax, just like home. The room was clean and comfortable and had a nicely outfitted kitchen. We ate out some, but also prepared meals easily. Swimming was fun! Santa Fe is always great!”

“The staff was friendly and the condo we stayed in was gorgeous, with a fully equipped kitchen, lovely décor, and comfy bed. Water pressure was a little low in the shower, but still nice and hot. We only stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is only 10-minute walk from the center of old Santa Fe. Lovely.”

“We loved the location and lovely interior of our unit. Everything that we needed for living comfortably and cooking our own meals was provided.”

Reviews of Santa Fe Sage Inn

“I have tried other hotels in Santa Fe, but once I found the Sage Inn I was hooked. The location is right where I want to be, the shuttle gets me where I need to go and the people are very friendly and helpful. The price is great!”

“My sister and I had the most amazing stay there. The staff was great, rooms comfy and clean. It was a quiet area and we loved having the free shuttle bus service to get to downtown Santa Fe. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. You get a lot for a great price!”

“The Santa Fe Sage Inn is owned by a local family who has been living in town for many generations. The Inn is located a nice 15-minute walk from downtown next to the Railyard Park. Close by are the Whole Foods, restaurants, REI, and on Saturdays, the farmer's market. The receptionists were very friendly. The rooms are small, but comfortable.”

Reviews of Inn and Spa at Loretto

“Friendly staff and eco-supportive attitude made for a pleasant start to our week-long stay at the Inn. Driving into Santa Fe in our Hybrid car, the parking fee was waived by the valet staff. The room was comfortable; the food was good and the ambience sublime.”

“This is my favorite place downtown. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and informative. The room was fantastic. The lobster mac and cheese in the lounge was the best thing we ate all weekend! We booked spa services and they were also amazing. Our room was even conveniently located near the private spa elevator for our convenience, even when we did not request it. I am looking forward to staying here again.”

    Reviews of Las Palomas

“Rooms are uniquely clustered little buildings. Most with decks or balconies. Nicely decorated rooms in southwest décor. Breakfast to order with lattes or specialty coffees was eloquent. Everything about this place was exceptional.”

“My husband and I traveled to Santa Fe to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. We were delighted with the pueblo style of Las Palomas that added to the experience. We were able to check in easily despite arriving at 1:30 am. The room had a living area and separate bedroom. Breakfast was a wonderful experience. It was well organized and allowed us time to talk with other guests about their travels and adventures. There was live music and artists displaying their work. Our stay was magical and created wonderful memories for us that we will cherish forever.”

“Great location close to the plaza, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast prepared to order by a hard-working breakfast crew, and even had live music two mornings during our stay. Room was comfortable and spacious, housekeeping was adequate. Would recommend it!”

Reviews of Rosewoods Inn of the Anasazi

“This hotel was absolutely beautiful - rich wood decor, lux southwest fabrics, and a warm fireplace in every room made it so romantic! The staff set up a doggie bowl in our room in anticipation of our stay and the room service menu was excellent. We wish this hadn't just been a quick stop on a road trip and would definitely return again.”

“Charming hotel, beautifully decorated and very friendly staff. Great location in the lovely town center. Seating outside for drinks and a good restaurant with live music. Room was great with a four poster bed and fire.”

“Small hotel, pleasant rooms, non-corporate atmosphere, excellent restaurant, outdoor terrace that is lovely for breakfast, and a convenient location make this hotel the best choice in Santa Fe.”

Reviews of Hotel Santa Fe & Spa

“Native American owned resort. Lovely room, great atmosphere, terrific location, really good breakfast. Entertainment in lounge during the weekend was terrific .They played a set of Native American music, which was awesome. All of the staff was professional, helpful, friendly, and very efficient.”

“We were welcomed by friendly staff. Our suite was beautiful enough to want to spend time relaxing before and after our activities. The shuttle was available quickly upon request with friendly knowledgeable drivers.”

“I stay at this hotel every time I go to Santa Fe. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice, and the hotel pays attention to small details- complimentary water bottles, coffee and tea bars on every floor in the morning- that make you feel very welcome and at home."

Reviews of Old Santa Fe Inn

“Dog friendly, perfect location, great breakfast, and friendly staff. We stay at this hotel whenever we are in Santa Fe.”

“We were very impressed by this hotel. It was extremely clean, the staff was very helpful, close to the plaza, and just real convenient. An added bonus is that they don't charge for parking. Many downtown hotels do just that. The breakfast was incredible. Overall, everything was just about perfect.”

“Lovely place. Loved the fireplace and the jet tub. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the best restaurants in town.”

    Reviews of Garretts Desert Inn

“Best aspects of the hotel were the price and location. Room was fine--roomy, clean, and reasonably comfortable. Bed was too soft for us, but that would not necessarily be the case for everyone. The Lounge was particularly nice to sit and work. Could have used another chair in the room.”

“Located right downtown. Good restaurant (Santa Fe Bite) is part of the inn. Motive is 70's southwestern, with a record player in the lobby. Organic toiletries, soaps, and shampoos. Parking was free for guests.”

“Friendly staff. Free coffee in the office in the morning. An excellent restaurant is located through the hotel--no need to go outdoors. The restaurant's coffee was the best I experienced in New Mexico!”

    Reviews of Hotel St Francis

“This is one of those hotels that is so good at what they do, they know what you want before you do. The people on the front desk were friendly and helpful. Staff throughout the hotel was always friendly and personable. We have stayed in multiple hotels in Santa Fe. This one is one I will return to.”

“I was searching for a bit online for the best hotel choice since there are so many in Downtown Santa Fe. I highly recommend this one! The location is perfect, and the staff is so courteous. This hotel is very elegant and not kitschy southwestern like some others in the area.”

“Super authentic Santa Fe experience in this hotel. The hotel staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms are on the small side, but this is the oldest hotel in Santa Fe, and that's just how things were in the past. The renovation done in 2009 is fantastic, and the sage-infused margarita in the Secreto Bar downstairs is perhaps the best cocktail I have ever tasted.”

Reviews of El Dorado Hotel & Spa

“Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were definitely the highlight of the hotel. The hotel itself was welcoming and beautifully decorated. Since this is an older hotel the rooms were a bit small, but very clean and had all up to date features. The parking is valet only, and the valets and doorman were excellent. This was our first stay in Santa Fe and we were very pleased with our hotel choice.”

“A great hotel for family. With solid constructed rooms, we didn't hear any noises from the surrounding rooms. It was prefect since our three-year-old really enjoyed running around, and if he was a little loud, it really didn't disturb anyone else.”

“We stayed for New Years at El Dorado, and spent five days there. It was beautiful! The hotel was full, but the staff was very keen to help in any way possible and was very attentive. This was our third time at El Dorado, and it always is a great experience!”

Reviews of Inn of the Governors

“We loved this place and will definitely stay again. The breakfast was wonderful with a great selection to choose from. We were full until dinner time, then went and ate in their restaurant, which served excellent food at a very reasonable price. This place gets two thumbs up from us!”

“We have stayed at the Inn of the Governors whenever we can while visiting Santa Fe. It has charm, pleasant staff, and a wonderful breakfast. It is close to all amenities in downtown.”

“Our stay was perfect from check-in to departure. Everything in the room was for the travelers comfort. Rooms included bathrobes, night light in bathroom, different types of pillows for your sleeping comfort along with normal amenities such as iron/ironing board, refrigerator, etc. The breakfast was the best! Eggs were not rubbery as in most hot breakfasts. Our only regret was that we did not make time for sherry in the afternoon. Thank you for a great stay in Santa Fe.”

Reviews of Villas de Santa Fe, a Diamond Resorts Intl Destination

“A great week in Santa Fe was enhanced by our seven nights at the Villas de Santa Fe. The room included a nice kitchenette, large-screen TVs with a DVD (on which we watched a great movie), a living room with couch, ottomans, a chair, and a large comfortable bed. The staff was all great! The workout facility was convenient, and the shuttle service was excellent.”

“The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed to cook and have meals, and the room was very clean and comfortable. We would be happy to stay there again.”

“Our condo had everything we could ask for; extremely clean, great floor plan, and enjoying a cup of coffee on our private porch was a great way to start the day. The staff offered great suggestions on dining and shopping. We will stay here again.”

Reviews of La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa

“Very friendly staff eager to make your stay perfect. The interior of the hotel and the grounds are beautiful, full of great art work, wonderful ambiance. The food was excellent too!”

“Charming hotel with the real feel and architecture of Santa Fe. Walking distance to the Plaza and the wonderful art gallery walk along Canyon Road. Friendly staff. Clean and quiet rooms and casitas. Not a box hotel. Lovely grounds, pool, spa, restaurants, bar, and free valet parking. This is the real deal, if you are looking for luxury old style resort. We would highly recommend it.”

“Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were at the concierge everyday with questions about our plans and places we wanted to visit. Though four rooms were housed under one roof, it felt like our own little pueblo with private outdoor patio. We could meander through the landscaped pathways leading to each pueblo. The complimentary shuttle was priceless. We could be dropped off or picked up within the downtown area. No need for a vehicle if just touring around the plaza and downtown area.”

Review of Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe

"I had an amazing room, which they had upgraded when I checked in. It had a fireplace, which they lit both nights I was there. It was perfect and so relaxing. The room was incredibly cozy and clean. It was in the heart of downtown, so I was able to walk everywhere. The bartender at the hotel bar gave me a great recommendation for dinner, and the staff was overall friendly and very accommodating. And there was convenient parking for my rental. I'd go back in a heartbeat!"

"This hotel is very nice and loaded with a southwest ambiance. It is about half a block from the plaza, and a two to seven-minute walk to several of the restaurants. This hotel is situated just off the plaza, which made it convenient to visit with many local vendors on a Saturday or Sunday. Most of these vendors are from many of the Native American Pueblos that surround Santa Fe. We had a very nice stay, and the front desk staff was nice and professional. The parking in the basement parking garage ($16/day), and made parking easy instead of driving around the block to find parking."

"This hotel is in the perfect location! It is small, but cozy and the staff is incredible! Please do not miss breakfast at Tia's Cocina-their restaurant (amazing). Get a fireplace for the cozy nights. The balcony is really nonexistent, though still great."

Reviews of La Fonda on the Plaza

"We loved the history of the hotel, the numerous original artworks through the hotel, including in our room. The decor of the dining room/restaurant is stunning and the food was excellent. Thoroughly recommend it - in fact we have been raving about how unique our stay was to all our friends."

"Loved the traditional old west style hotel. Great room with fireplace and stacks of piñon wood. Enjoyed coffee each morning in front of the crackling, fragrant fire. We had drinks and enchiladas in the bar, breakfast in the French bakery, and another breakfast in la plazuela. All were very good. Hotel is spotless. If you are looking for a vibrant, festive hotel right on the plaza, then choose this one. Also, live music in the bar each night except Sunday. We really enjoyed the country and Western swing band!"

"Beautiful, historic hotel, recently renovated rooms with a modern southwestern style. Perfect location right on the plaza. Wonderful helpful staff in every part of the hotel--the front desk, the restaurants, even the parking garage! Very comfortable beds, great bathroom. Excellent restaurants. The $12 lunch buffet has some of the best enchiladas you will find anywhere in the world. The main restaurant in the central atrium is lovely. Highly recommend."
