"Great Location and friendly staff"
Arrived early and the hotel was very accommodating helping our weekend stay get off to a great start. I even had a phone charger emergency that the front desk staff were able to help with! Dinner at the resturaunt was delicious and the spa facilities helped for a nice relaxing stay. We were able to walk to everything we wanted. Perfect location for our Pride Weekend.

"Room size"
The room was very clean and decorated lovely. But it was very small even to us and we are small people. It was hard to find a place to set two suitcases. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions of things to do in the area. We would stay at the Hotel St. Francis again but would go for a larger room. Everything so close to the hotel. We took advantage of using the pool at their sister hotel. Staff was very nice and we enjoyed just relaxing by the pool.

"Gorgeous hotel on the Plaza"
We go to Santa Fe about once every 2 years (if not more). Usually we stop there on our way somewhere else, this hotel made us want to stay longer! Perfect location on the square, gorgeous rooms that smelled of leather - in a good way - cute shops, lovely restaurants. All together my husband and my favorite hotel so far in Santa Fe (we have tried 4 or 5 so far and will come back here from now on!)

"Relaxing place to stay."
We met my daughter & son-in-law in Santa Fe and spent three nights in the Old Santa Fe Inn. We were pleasantly surprised with the nice room and friendly employees. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. The downtown is within a short walking distance. Overall our stay was a good experience.

"I would definitely stay again!"
This hotel is in a very convenient location and has a great nightly rate, especially if you need multiple nights. The kitchenette with refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher is great. The hotel is located beside a shopping center with an Albertson's grocery store and a Subway Sandwich shop across the parking lot. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There were four of us in the room and the only "problem" was that they only put two towels and washcloths in the bathroom. I went to the office each night to get a couple more. There was only one night that they didn't have any clean towels to give me. The complimentary breakfast was good - cereal, muffins, toast, juice, and coffee. No fresh fruit, which would have been nice. We stayed four nights and were very satisfied with our experience.

"Early June 2015"
Stayed four nights. AC did not work the first three nights. Had to ask for a fan and another guest asked for a fan and was told they didn't have any. They bought their own. No excuse for an upscale property. One of our bedroom windows wouldn't stay open, bathroom sink faucet and handles were loose. To top things oo after no AC for 3 nights our sheets were not changed during stay. Hotel did reduce overall charges to accommodate our concerns.

Where to stay in Santa Fe

    Santa Fe Hotel Guide

Santa Fe, New Mexico, the oldest capital city in the United States, is an alluring destination with a little something for everyone to enjoy. Hotels

Many of the hotels in Santa Fe are conveniently located in downtown or Cerrillos Road. While these two hotel hot spots are within easy access of each other, they differ in their ambience and appeal. Downtown has a historical vibe with an old Western environment, while Cerrillos Road is a much more modern area with an urban feel. Regardless of where you book one of the Santa Fe hotels, you’ll find a variety of lodging options, from budget-friendly motels to splurge-worthy accommodations.

    Transportation

One of the best ways of getting around is to reserve a Santa Fe rental car in advance. With the exception of downtown, which is walkable, there are a number of roads that run through the city and are easy to navigate. Many of the streets do have sharp turns, so take care when cruising along these roads.

The city also provides the North Central Regional Transit District, which is a free bus service that runs Monday through Friday. The routes service communities in Santa Fe, along with Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, and Taos. The Santa Fe Trails also offers bus service to the area, with routes to Crosstown, Cerrillos Road, Agua Fria, and Rodeo Road, among others.

    Travel Basics

Realize that Santa Fe is a high-altitude destination, which can contribute to a number of health-related problems if travelers are ill prepared to handle it. Focus on staying hydrated, pack plenty of sunscreen, and be especially vigilant if you’re hiking to even higher altitudes. Some visitors may feel experience headaches, or feel nauseated and especially tired when acclimating.

For vacationers who plan to get behind the wheel during their Santa Fe travels, take caution. Drivers in this area are notorious for running red lights, so remain extra focused around intersections. For whatever reason, items failing off of trailers and pick-up trucks are another common occurrence. Remain alert while driving on these roads and maintain a safe distance behind other vehicles.

    Weather

Santa Fe presents four distinct seasons each year. The winters usually experience temperatures around 40 F with the chance of snowfall. When spring rolls in, the climate is dry and offers arguably some of the best temperatures all year round. Come summer, the heat spikes around 90 F, but afternoon thunderstorms help to cool it down during July and August. Autumn brings cooler temperatures and crisp evenings before the winter chill sets in.

Santa Fe is a scenic destination, located at the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, where anytime is a good time to visit. Allow us here at Expedia.com to match you up with cheap flights to Santa Fe, along with car rentals and hotel rooms to suit all your travel preferences.
