Santa Isabel Vacations
Santa Isabel is located some 45 miles (72 kilometers) from Panama City, the national capital.
Try not to limit yourself to Santa Isabel; this region has a treasure trove scenic and cultural attractions which await the savvy traveler. San Blas Islands, is 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the west, and Isla Grande is located 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the east.
An excellent way to truly appreciate a region is by learning about its earlier days. So be sure to visit the fortresses while you are here.

No journey through this region is complete without ordering a tamales (corn dough rolls) and corvina (baked fish). Enjoy raspados (ice topped with sweet syrup) at the end of your repast. This is a common choice for residents. Balboa is a popular drink here. So head to the nearest drinking establishment, pull up a stool and enjoy it! Visitors who don't drink alcoholic beverages will want to sample resbaladera (chilled barley and rice drink), a regional favorite.
