Not sure how much extra it cost us, but we reserved a room with a terrace . . . what a difference. You can walk out and enjoy the amazing view as it directly across the street from the harbor. As the town is small, there isn't much traffic and being elevated from the street you can't see it either, so you really kind of get these that this is your private villa and you're looking out at your boat amongst the other . . . yours is the grandest one of course :-)
The room was not large but worked well functionally. As you're facing nearly east, you'll have some strong morning such but they have excellent wood blinds on motor that will block it out until you're ready to face the day in paradise.

We stayed there only one night and it was an OK experience. Room was clean & comfortable enough. Building is very nice and interesting, although once you're inside the room it is no different than a regular 3 star hotels. Although it is located on a hill, it is still walking distance to beach & restaurants at night. It might be hard with kids & strollers though because there isn't a sidewalk when the hill starts & it is curvy, so t can be dangerous to walk down. Parking was a challenge due to an additional curvy hill in front of the hotel. Stay there for a night or 2 but look for easier to access places for longer vacations.

An excellent hotel for our weeks stay on the Ligurian coast. The staff were friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was a bit pricey and having ordered a steak to be cooked at the table, we were somewhat surprised to see it already having been cooked and the plate merely put in front of us with no explanation. We had a few meals in our room and the Room Service was exceptionally good.

Excellent Hotel with fantastic views. A 2 min walk to the train station and 5 minute walk to the city center. Be sure to specify sea view and in the original building. We were fortunate to stay in the corner Jr. Suite. Highly recommend this room. Its 2+ times larger than the standard room and the terrace is 4x the size of the standard. Great free breakfast, free Wi-Fi and attentive staff.
