"Love Historical hotels. Not a cookie cutter chain."
The only negative for the hotel was the lack of free wifi. The grounds and staff were excellent. Great food in the Terrace Grill as well. I would stay again while in the area.

"Charming and comfortable"
We were after a room for one night within the wine region and we booked La Rose online. Our room was in the annexe across the street from the main building and with its courtyard, plants and water feature felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. It was comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Our door key also locked the substantial courtyard gate which gave us a nice sense of security. Noise was minimal. An adequate breakfast, included in the price was available in the main building.

Enjoyed dinner at John Ash and breakfast off the lobby area off a menu. Great ownership and management by a local winery. Planning to return at every opportunity.
