"Close to Charles Schulz Museum, Coddington Mall"
We stayed in one of Motel 6's renovated rooms and found it attractive and beds comfortable. While spare, clearly thought has gone into all the fixtures in the bathroom and the bedroom. There is a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall opposite the bed, a small shelf for the remote just below it, and a small round table and two chairs. There is no closet, but hangers and a set of posts. There are also few open shelves for clothes and a suitcase rack. The bathroom has an attractive shelf unit for rolled towels to be placed. The basin is the countertop type and the counter is granite. I just wish there was a hook to hang the wet facecloths. The motel on a fairly quiet street just off of Guerneville Road and within a short walk or quick drive of the mall with shops and restaurants. It's a short walk from Coddington Mall and less than a mile from the Charles Schulz Museum and the Redwood Empire Ice Arena, aka Snoopy's Home Ice. We dropped in mid-morning Sunday and the place was packed with families. For the little kids new to the ice, they give them plastic chairs to push that gives them stability -- and a place to sit if they get tired. As the morning goes on, the more expreienced skaters take over and the beginners with their chairs move to the inside.

This is a charming hotel with a variety of restaurants within walking distance. We had dinner in an English Pub, breakfast at an omlette shop and coffee in a nearby coffee shop. We were also able to browse in several antique and thrift stores.
