What a nice surprise

Posted Oct 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel Locanda del Borgonovo was quite a surprise very much a family run establishment with the emphasis on making the guests feel welcome and at home. What it lacked in refinements compared the four star hotels I stayed in durning my visit it made up for in passion! Again my visit was durning off season but the restaurant was open and the food was authentic and local, staff were beyond friendly it was like staying with ones long lost Italian family - as an English speaker with basic Italian I was made to feel very welcome and staff went to great lengths to include me and inform me of local attractions. Wifi was unlimited and although it was only guaranteed in public areas I had a good connection in my room which was a good size two beds so would suit a family, I noticed cots were also available. Out of the six hotels I stayed at this was my favourite and I'll remember my visit and the staff for many years to come.

HOtel Locanda del Borgonovo-beautiful setting

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel operators were very kind and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay! The hotel was neat, clean and in a beautiful mountain setting. It was near a wonderful historic city called Tagliacozzo. The breakfast was simple but delicious coffee and croussant. We highly recommend this reasonably priced and wonderful small hotel in the Abruzzo region of Italy.
