Location was good and safe. Very near metro. Unfortunately my 9th floor room faced west so I had the sun beating in almost all day... unless I shut all the drapes which was depressing. It is an unmarked building so good luck finding it. No little extras like bath soap and shampoo or a bottle of water. TV is in bedroom area not living room area. Wifi is good. No one speaks English do you better know Spanish. I paid in advance but I got a bill under my door to pay again. What a frustrating nightmare trying to explain I already paid. I think they were saying they never heard of Orbitz. It was eventually figured out--no, I didn't pay again. They don't respond to emails either. Not worth all the headaches if you are on vacation. I can deal with no bath soap but I cannot deal with terrible communication.

The location is very quiet. But just a few meters out is Providencia, a busy avenue with lots of shopping and restaurants. Subway station is close by.

Superb Location, everything we needed!
Situated in the heart of Providencia, Satiago our four day stay at the Austral Suites was a perfect way to finish our vacation. The shower was excellent with lots of hot water, and the bathroom clean, (important after a hiking holiday), the kitchen had everything we needed and the view from the 18th floor a delight. While we understood the apartment would not be serviced we were still offered clean towels each afternoon and the toilet paper was replenished. There were tea and coffee sachets to get us started on the first day. Everything we wanted was within walking distance, and the area felt safe with lots of wonderful eating choices. While we did not share a language, we found the staff, through google translator, to be extremely helpful and friendly. There are laundry facilities and a swimming pool - both of which we utilised. We are thrilled with our choice. Highly recommend.

This is a very nice apartment which compares very positevely with other apartments in the area. It is well equiped and well maintained. It is located in a very central location but at the same time in a quiet spot with amazing views from the 21st floor

Great location but some let-downs.
The hotel location is very convenient. 5 minute walk to metro station. Easy check in. Daily rubbish pick up. The kitchen had all the amenities. The apartment overall is comfortable and promising but I found some let-downs. The lighting was very poor in the living room, bathroom and bedroom. The curtains had holes. The towels look very old and with a funny smell, not sure whether from detergent or a cleaning product. There was also a smell in the bathroom (like sewage)

Great location, nice size rooms
I was traveling with my boyfriend and 4 other members of his family. We had 3 rooms and we only stayed at Austral Suites for one night. It was hard to find the building itself because I thought it was a hotel and was confused when I didn't see any signage. Turns out they were condos and we had to enter just a regular building (it would be helpful in the future to be provided with a picture of what the front looks like, so you know what you're looking). There's absolutely no option for early check-in because the people at the desk don't even get the paperwork until 3pm. But the front desk was kind enough to keep our bags while we ventured out. The room itself was very spacious - it had a kitchen area, living room and a bedroom and bath. The location was perfect (and that's why we booked this). We had family who lived in the area and they recommended we stay at this location because it's walking distance to the park (where the cable cars are) and several restaurants.

Stylish, comfortable hotel.
This was a very stylish apartment hotel with a kitchen, small living room, and small bedroom. The walls are covered in a nice bamboo veneer, one wall is entirely made of glass windows that open onto a nice little balcony that faces an interesting building. The building is also very clean and is in a great neighborhood in Providencia, near cafes, bars, restaurants, and about a block from the nearest subway station. I would stay here again.

Great room and BAD, CONFUSING service
Excellent room in a great neighborhood. But it's not a hotel. It's an apart-hotel without anyone from Austral Suites in the reception. That means you don't get any service, let alone information about check-out, payment, etc. We arrived at 1pm and they said that not until 3pm would the room be available. We HATED the fact that Austral Suites is nowhere in the door, in the sign, and that the doorman for the building cannot answer anything related to Austral Suites.

Great once you're in!
Austral Suites are great - well furnished and appointed, well serviced and with good Internet access. I would thoroughly recommend them - my wife and I had a studio which well-suited our four night stay. The situation is good, with easy and quick access to the metro and supermarkets within a 10 minute walk. It's a business area, so is full of life during the day, but much quieter at night. We ate in the apartment each night as supplies were available close by. Expedia need to put a warning on their website to say that there is no signage for Austral Apartments on the building (it seems AS aren't allowed to do this) and if arriving either after 17:30 or on a week-end or holiday, note that an envelope will be left with the reception staff, but only Spanish spoken. Our driver from the airport had never heard of AS, but found the address on his satnav. He was also concerned not to leave us until he was sure we were in the right place. AS's management could improve matters by putting apartment instructions in English as well as the comprehensive Spanish version and ensure that the information is up-to-date. The location of the office was shown as in 1403, but had actually moved to 908. The layout of the building makes it difficult to find the rooms as it's divided into two separate parts, each using different lifts. Once you're over these hurdles, AS are to be thoroughly recommended. Pilar, in the office doesn't speak English, but took the trouble to phone a colleague.

A luxurious home away from home
Location is amazing, very central, in a very convenient and sophisticated neighborhood. Could not be more pleased! From here you can get to ANYWHERE very conveniently, and everything you may need for your stay is within easy walking distance-- restaurants, groceries, pharmacies, small stores. The apartment itself is very well furnished, total comfort, great views. Instead of a vacation residence, I could have moved in and stayed for months or more. The rooftop pool area is a great way to relax. As some other reviews stated, Pilar who is the manager is a wonderful lady and very helpful. She does not speak English but sometimes she does have a person with her who does, but do not rely on that. Have a working knowledge of some Spanish or at least a translator available on your smartphone. We had no difficulty whatsoever and I speak only few words in Spanish. We will be back, this is our place to stay when in Santiago!

They dont respect the reservation made by Expedia
I arrived at midnight and tell the recepcionist about my reservation made through Expedia and he told me that they had a reservation, after he calls the owner and she told me they dont have rooms available and they don´t charge before arrivals but anyway they did not respect the reservation. And I had to look after an 8 hours fligth for another hotel at midnight. No help and concern about it. Terrible. Expedia should not have this hotel in his portfolio.

Beautiful Serviced Studio
Fantastic location in trendy Providencia part of town. We walked everywhere from here. Only used the metro to get to some vineyards on the outskirts of Santiago. Room serviced every day. Staff very friendly although dont speak English. However you are in their country so get over it. Free WIFI everywhere so download a translator app and get on with it. Cant rate them highly enough...

This was our 3rd time in Santiago. The apart hotel is in convenience & safe location and the room is so nice, large and comfortable with all amenities. The best thing there is the owner of the place treated us as her own family. She is very nice and assisted in how to get around and saving money and let us use the room for shower after we have checked out since our flight was late night flight without any charge. We will definitely go back to stay there again. Highly recommend if you want the best stay in a great location in Santiago.

Central location was excellent. Room comfortable and clean. Marjory (manager) was extremely helpful, organising our taxi and helping to purchase tickets for bus trip to Valparaiso. Would recommend highly.

Localização ótima,!!!Perto de tudo,aliás sempre que vou a Santiago fico no bairro Providencia.Atendimento na recepção bom.Nao esqueçam chekin somente após 15 hrs e isso não foi informado anteriormente.O apartamento em geral bom. Uma kitnet completa! Cozinha bem equipada e nova. A cama muito ruim,no caso de casal juntam os colchões e são colchões de péssima densidade. Não trocam as toalhas e fim de semana sem limpeza. Aliás não espere roupas de cama e toalhas muito limpas!! Mas mesmo assim indico pelo custo benefício!!

Foi me cobrado o IVA (VAT) de 19% sob o valor total da estadia, mesmo o contrato estar estipulando que brasileiros, mostrando o passaporte, e pagando em dólares, não incidiria em tal imposto. El estacionamiento se paga aparte y tiene un costo de US$ 15 mas IVA , a pesar de haber aceptado el valor en el momento de tratar de usarlo el conserje no accedió pues no le habían informado , el lavamanos del departamento tenía una fuga y el baño se inundaba , la manilla de la puerta de entrada se soltaba completamente, la estadía no fue de mi agrado.

Ótima localização, perto de mercadinhos, farmácia e cafés. Wi-Fi excelente. No geral é uma hospedagem modesta - limpeza e conforto estão dentro do normal . O prédio é residencial e na fachada não há informação nenhuma que identifique com o nome Austral Suítes, o que causa uma certa insegurança. No geral, cumpre o que promete, sem surpresas positivas ou negativas.

El lugar y la zona buenos, esto nomes un Hotel son apartamentos, no hay ningun servicio adicional en el lugar, No hay un counter y la Sra encargada es bastante poco amable y sarcastica.... no volveria a este lugar...

Estimado, Gracias por su comentario. Efectivamente no somos un hotel y no tenemos los mismos servicios que un hotel ni tampoco los mismos precios que un hotel. En Austral Suites arrendamos departamentos amoblados, tratamos de dejar eso claro pero al parecer sigue habiendo confusión por lo que vamos a mejorar la comunicación en este sentido. Saludos,

Local ideal em Santiago
O Austral Suites fica super bem localizado, a apenas 1 quarteirão da estação de metrô Pedro de Valdívia, em um ponto do bairro Providencia cheio de restaurantes, bares, supermercados e lojas de cambio. E a rua em que está localizado o prédio é bastante tranquila.
