Chile Inn Hostal in Santiago

Posted Apr 8, 2013
The hostal is right next to a nighclub and the live band was so load the walls shook until 4 AM sat and sun. Entrance is up long flight of stairs andright next to a buzy and load street. It was close to metro, restuarants and markets. and Placia Brazil.

Bare bones but good staff

Posted Jan 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is for a short stay in Santiago for budget travellers. It is between 2 stops on the Metro and about a 20 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas. It is a basic hostel with a few private rooms (shared bath). It is on the 2nd floor, no elevator, and with a long flight of somewhat treacherous stairs to negotiate. The staff did bring the bags up, though, and were very hospitable and honest. The room was basic but the biggest problem was that the key to the door did not work. I had to drag a bureau over against the door for some security. If money IS an object, and you are only on a short stay, this could work for you.

Chile Inn, Santiago - great location!

Posted Apr 9, 2011 on Hotels.com
We turned up at the Chile Inn at 8pm on a Saturday night and nearly walked straight past as the sign wasn't lit up. However, once inside we were really impressed with the beautiful, enormous, building that we were staying in. High ceilings, lots of light and a fab roof terrace! The hostel was located in trendy Barrio Brasil, and only 5 mins walk from Plaza Brasil with it's multitude of bars and restaurants. Plaza de Armas was a 10 minute walk away. The nearest metro, Cummings, was 2 minutes down the road. Really great place, helpful staff and a very nice atmosphere. Would definitely reccommend!
