Pros: Modern, clean, well located, friendly staff.

Pleased with the facilities, cleanliness and overall experience. Not so much with the room service food. But would recommend it.

Good convenient hotelPosted Feb 5, 2015
Location: Very well located within 10 mins of all sights.
Convenient location. Good choice of items for breakfast. Nice south facing terrace area with small pool. Hotel is very much what one would expect from a business hotel. One issue was that we had problems finding it with Google maps as it was indicating a location on the outskirts of town.

The Mercure Santiago is in an excellent location.Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: The Mercure Santiago is in an excellent location, close to the city centre and a half a block from the metro station.
Location: The location is exceptional in the city centre within easy access to everything.
We stayed here in January 2015. is great, with good variety. The rooms are large and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. There is a nice little swimming pool and gym. We arrived early and we were able to leave our luggage while we visited Santa Lucia Hill nearby. We also were able to leave our luggage for the whole day when we checked out since our flight was in the late evening.

hotel centralePosted Nov 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
sono stato tre notti in questo hotel. le camere sono confortevoli anche se il bagno è un pò piccolo. La colazione è appena sufficiente, mentre il servizio del ristorante è assai scarso

Boa e confortávelPosted Nov 11, 2014 on Hotels.com

Hotel Central e recomendado.Posted Nov 11, 2014 on Hotels.com

Upscale, Great Service, Good Location!Posted Oct 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
I arrived in Valparaiso via cruise ship and made my way to Santiago by bus. I caught the metro (subway) at the Universidad de Santiago station and hopped off at the Santa Lucia station on the red line. The Mercure Santiago was at the top of the Santa Lucia exit. The staff was very professional, spoke good English, and were very helpful. The hotel is in a great area and my room looked directly at the Virgin Mary statue at the park across the street. Two blocks down from the hotel is a stop for the Hop-On-Hop-Off tour bus operated by Turistik. The room was modern and clean. The free buffet breakfast was fabulous with both cold and warm offerings. When it was time to leave I carried my bags back to the metro station and jumped off at the Universidad de Santiago stop. At the top of the metro exit is the main bus terminal. I couldn't find a sign inside the bus terminal for the aeroporto but I found it outside directly in front of bus parking stall #24. It cost me less than $2,000 Chilean Pesos ($4 U.S.) to take the bus to the Airport and took almost 30 minutes on the dot! This was a great stay and a great experience. One word of caution - when I checked out the desk clerk indicated I owed money for the room. I responded that was incorrect as the room was prepaid through Hotels.com (Expedia). The clerk said the charges did not go through via Expedia. I indicated that was between the hotel and Expedia, not me so the charges were not charged to me.
