Unfortunately this wasn’t a good stay. A big issue for me when I’m travelling is having good WiFi. This allows me to plan the next part of my trip and so on. I had WiFi in the room on the very first morning when I arrived - by that afternoon it no longer worked. I needed to do various bits but I wanted to lie on my bed doing so as I have had knees and wasn’t in pain. Unfortunately the front desk - who spoke good English when things were fine - stopped speaking English when I wasn’t happy. I couldn’t find much in the local area either. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Its an old building, great but the cleanliness its poor, they dont ask for new towels every day or if you need service in the bathroom, but its comfortable, its nice place after all, great breakfast.

Right for what I needed
I made a short visit to Santiago, so I found this hotel suitable for my needs, just to sleep, check my email and breakfast. Also the location is perfect, quiet place, close to the metro station.

Good value, good location
I was happy with my stay here, even though the decors needs some serious upgrading and the breakfast was poor. The hotel was clean, my room was surprisingly large with adequate workspace, the internet worked well, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. In addition the hotel is located 3 mins from the metro, in an upscale neighborhood. I have no complaints.

Get a bit of a taste of local life
I really enjoyed my time at this hotel. I was there for five nights and appreciated the location. It is easy to access great neighborhoods like Providencia and Bellavista, where there are lots of great things to see and do. I walked to these locations fairly easily during the day, but I like walking as a way to take in the sights of the city. Within about a 5km radius (~1 hour on foot), there is a lot to see and do. The area seemed reasonably safe but I cannot say for sure because I tended to take a cab home at night. The location of the hotel meant that a cab ride was quite cheap. The staff are very friendly and trustworthy (I accidentally left money in the open in my room and it was undisturbed when I came home). I think that the owner is the only person that speaks English. The language barrier was not really a problem because I carried a phrasebook and it is easy to make do when one has to. The place is a little rustic and I like that. If you are looking for a highly sanitized American-style hotel, this is NOT the hotel for you. If you are like me and want to get a taste of local life and are not worried about having things like flat screen TV's or puffy towels, this would be a great hotel. I think that it is a nice and safe place where you can meet interesting people.

Posada del Salvador
The staff at this hotel were very professional and kind. The rooms were comfortable and clean. For the price, I believe this is one of the better deals in the downtown Santiago area.

I loved the stay, not only because the neighborhood of Provedencia is great and the place is well attached to the public transportation - the friendliness of the staff in each and every concern is outstanding! Everybody is friendly and ready to help at all times and make you feel at home! Good value for money regarding the category and if I ever come back to Santiago I´ll certainly check in there again!

No lo vale
Realmente esperaba más. Al llegar y mi reserva no estaba hecha. El internet nunca funcionó, la habitación estaba muy deteriorada, no teníamos agua caliente, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba. El personal nos entregó un calefactor para no pasar más frío. En la entrada a las habitaciones había un sofá en muy malas condiciones que tenía hongos y otras cosas.

hotel muito antigo, quartos antiquíssimo , tem até TV de TUBO. Os funcionários são atenciosos , o que já é por si só obrigação. Maquina de cartão para pagamento não funcionava. Só valeu pelo estacionamento.

Das Zimmer 302 war sehr alt und eher dürftig eingerichtet. Beim 2. Mal schliefen wir im 203, das viel schöner und angenehmer war. Die Leute sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist zweckmässig aber einfach. Das WLAN langsam und fiel immer wieder raus. Trotzdem ein generell angenehmer Aufenthalt (Preis/Leistung) absolut ok!

Sempre que viajo a Santiago me hospedo nesse hotel
Conheci a Posada del Salvador em 2011 durante uma emergência. Na ocasião, estava com minha esposa em Santiago, e, por um erro do hotel que tínhamos reservado, fomos obrigados a procurar outro lugar para ficar. Por sorte um taxista nos levou a esse hotel onde fomos muito bem recebidos. De lá para cá sempre que viajo a Santiago me hospedo nesse hotel. Trata-se de um hotel simples, 3 estrelas, mas bem localizado no bairro de Providência e com uma equipe muito prestativa. O hotel fica a duas quadras da estação de metrô Salvador e a três quadras da Av. Manuel Montt, onde se localizam bons bares e restaurantes, além de uma agência do banco Itaú nas proximidades da estação que leva o mesmo nome. Há uma quadra do hotel se encontra uma conveniência grande e do outro lado da rua um posto BR também com uma conveniência (menor) e caixa eletrônico. A equipe do hotel é fantástica, muito solicita e honesta com os turistas. Não faz distinção entre os turistas chilenos, de outros lugares e os brasileiros. Tudo que necessitar (informações, dicas, etc) peça ao Estebán e à Jéssica para ajudá-los. Outra coisa, o hotel está dividido entre a parte antiga e nova. Como foi o primeiro hotel do bairro, a parte antiga talvez desagrade e assuste o turista brasileiro, mas a parte nova é muito bonita e aconchegante. O café da manhã é simples: pão, manteiga, frios, café e suco industrializado. Mas, não espere no Chile um café padrão hotel brasileiro. Super recomendo!

La gente de recepción muy muy amable y trato personalizado. Habitaciones no muy amplias, pero con lo justo y necesario. (Cama, alguna con escritorio, frigobar, televisor simple) Paredes sin gran aislamiento del ruido. Habitaciones dan a avenida de mucho tránsito y ruido en la mañana y tarde. La ubicación es cercana a Providencia, Santiago, cerca del metro y Transantiago. Desayuno completo, sin grandes lujos, pero completamente satisfactorio.

Pontos Positivos: A localização do hotel é ótima! Próximo a estação de metrô Salvador, linha vermelha, onde, através dela, pode se chegar facilmente aos principais pontos turísticos de Santiago. E, como fica no centro, dá pra ir em muitos locais andando, como o restaurante giratório e a Rua Constituición, onde fica os melhores barzinhos e restaurante de Santiago. Além disso, nas proximidades do hotel existem farmácias, Deliverys, Fast Food´s, ConveniÊncias e entre outros. O atendimento dos funcionários é impecável, chegamos e fomos muito bem recepcionados. A atendente perguntou se precisaríamos de taxi para o traslado até o aeroporto, e se encarregou de providenciar o taxi no horário por nós solicitado. Foram o tempo todo solícitos, informando os endereços que precisávamos chegar. Pontos Negativos A diária é um pouco cara para o serviço oferecido. As tolhas estavam velhas e bastante encardidas, bem como os forros de cama, que tinha um aspecto velho, embora limpo. A mobília do quarto igualmente velha e a TV muito pequena, daquelas de 14 polegadas ainda com tubo! O sinal do Wi fi oscilava muito, caindo de vez em quando.

Excelente localização!
Localização excelente, próximo da estação de metrô Salvador, há 10min do Patio Bella Vista e cerca de 15 do Cerro San Cristóbal. Fiz a reserva, cheguei lá estava tudo certo, porém não gostei do quarto, eles me mudaram para os chamados quartos superiores, que são excelentes e a diária custou 18 dólares a mais. Café da manhã bom, só senti falta de frutas, mas há suco, iogurte, cereais, etc. Atendimento excelente e as pessoas são amáveis, sempre disponíveis a nos ajudar. Gostei muito!
