Great staff, nice place, super time. The facility seems almost private with 3 rooms total on our floor. Our room was very large, with a nice sitting area and kitchen facilities. Bathroom was the largest we've ever had in Europe!
The staff cared enough to text the day before arrival to let me know they have a break from 1-3 PM, but would meet us if we were planning to come in at that time. They gave great dining advise, and very friendly and caring.
The overall experience was simply perfect.

We stayed at the Hotel Regency for 2 nights. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The bathroom is on the small side but the shower was very large. Our room faced the street and it was very quiet at night. We had breakfast in the dining area and it was very good, eggs, meat, croissants, cheeses and fresh fruit, and cappuccino. Everything was first class. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They booked dinner reservations, tour guides and taxis upon requests. We also emailed them ahead of time and they responded very quickly. We never ate dinner in their restaurant so I can't comment on that. The hotel really captured the quaintness of Florence being located close to many attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

"Stylish, modern hotel - v. friendly, happy staff."
We arrived late in the evening and had our car valet parked from where we'd clumsily half-parked off the main road a hundred yards away. The staff guessed that we had particular needs regarding access and facilities during our stay, and suggested changes to the accommodation which suited us perfectly. They really couldn't do enough, and were always smiling while they were helping! Plus the room was genuinely cool; it was big, super-clean and modern, and there was everything we could want from a Nespresso machine to ultra-quiet aircon, electric bathroom window, and a really smart kitchenette (which we didn't expect but made ample use of). Even a bottle of wine. Rarely does one enjoy a hotel for its own sake; in this case I really did.

When I arrived at the hotel from the Railway Station by taxi . The location seemed not so good. But after one hour of walking in the area, I found it to be so close to everything that a first time tourist in Florence would like to be.

Just about everything was perfect with our stay. Initial check in included a thorough overview of the area, nearby facilities (including grocery), and best bus routes to and from downtown.
The only potential downside to La Farina Apartments is that it's about a 20 minute walk to reach Florence's historic central sights. However, if you pick up a Firenze card for museum admission (highly recommended), you also get free use of city buses. With the aid of a smartphone, finding buses to save you some foot soreness becomes easy (as does navigating the streets to the center).
The staff were lovely and assisted us with everything from summoning taxis to figuring out bus schedules for our next stop in Siena.
Can't recommend highly enough.

San Marco is a church and monastery set in Florence, dating back to the 15th century. The most notable aspects of San Marco are the frescos by Fra Angelico, a much-revered Renaissance painter. A museum is on site, and tours are available.
