The hotel was perfectly located for where we had to be. It was beautiful and very comfortable with pleasant staff. It was spacious with a great roomy bathroom for European standards and an extremely comfortable king size bed. Best of all it was quiet so we slept amazingly well! All the sights were a 10 to 15 minute walk but we returned to our quiet area after the rush and crowds of Florence. Breakfast was great overlooking a lovely courtyard. I would definitely go back again,

The hotel is situated a small distance from the centre of Florence. The gardens are very beautiful and have a great selection of sculptures.
The staff were very professional and helpful.
We ate at the restaurant for dinner and also had breakfast there. We felt that the breakfast was overpriced for the quality and service.
The room was well appointed but the bed was not as comfortable as what you would expect from the Four Seasons

The hotel is easily accessed by public transit — several bus routes run nearby, and one stops right in front — and has restaurants, a supermarket, drugstores, boutiques, and much more within a few minutes' walk.
The room was essentially an apartment: towels and linens were changed every three days but other than that you were on your own for general cleaning. There was a good-sized refrigerator, a microwave, and a stove, plus dishes and cutlery. The bed was large and comfortable. The room had a safe — almost indispensable these days.
There were, however, no chairs. There was four uncomfortable bowl-shaped dining chairs around the table, a sort of large square hassock, and a full-length person-shaped lounge covered in cold vinyl, but there wasn't an armchair or even a desk chair (and no desk), nor any place to put your suitcases except for that hassock.
The shower was wonderful: a large cascade shower head and sliding doors. But there was nowhere to put your shower gel and shampoo except on top of that large round flat shower head, or on the shower floor — a strange oversight. The bathroom had an openable window, a rare and welcome thing in a hotel.
The room itself also had windows that opened — and the A/C is designed to automatically shut off when they are open.
Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper: traffic noise is audible well into the night, since the hotel is on what seems to be a major road.
The hotel has a decently priced laundry facility, always a plus.

Stayed in a suite at the j and j and was a huge room. Really beautiful. Friendly kind staff who are very happy to help. Very close to the cathedral and a short walk to the uffizi and ponte vechio bridge. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and our two teenagers (13 and 16) stayed here and loved it. Very conveniently located, everything was within a short walk. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable. While the shower was small, the rest of the room was large.

Stayed in this very comfortable apartment hotel for a week in early February. Close to Dumo, fresh food market and other sites. Limited cooking facilities but who cooks in Italy when you can eat out.If you like a simple cereal/toast breakfast then this will suit as you can supply for yourself. Staff are very helpful and efficient. Reception closes 1pm to 3pm and at night but did not find this an issue. Excellent WiFi connection. Rooms serviced daily. Only drawback is no washing machine in apartment but laundry service offered and laundromat across road. For those who are staying a little longer in Firenze or who just like a little more room and to do there own cooking then this is a wonderful option.

San Marco is a church and monastery set in Florence, dating back to the 15th century. The most notable aspects of San Marco are the frescos by Fra Angelico, a much-revered Renaissance painter. A museum is on site, and tours are available.
