This was an amazing hotel in Florence with truly a history and stylish feel to its ambiance. It was walkable to any major attraction. The daily breakfast (included in the stay) was outstanding with yogurt, croissants, prosciutto and ham, home-made scrambled eggs and bacon - couldnt ask for more with your pick of any of the house specialty espressos or coffees. The staff were friendly and always willing to lend a hand when needed. The staff coordinated pick up and logistics for the attractions within and outside of Florence we wanted to explore.
Overall, an amazing stay and we would stay again in a heart beat.

Just about everything was perfect with our stay. Initial check in included a thorough overview of the area, nearby facilities (including grocery), and best bus routes to and from downtown.
The only potential downside to La Farina Apartments is that it's about a 20 minute walk to reach Florence's historic central sights. However, if you pick up a Firenze card for museum admission (highly recommended), you also get free use of city buses. With the aid of a smartphone, finding buses to save you some foot soreness becomes easy (as does navigating the streets to the center).
The staff were lovely and assisted us with everything from summoning taxis to figuring out bus schedules for our next stop in Siena.
Can't recommend highly enough.

From the moment we entered the hotel we were greeted and were made to feel welcome. Our room was ready for us, it was clean and had a beautiful fresco in the ceiling. Breakfast was presented in a nice way and the staff went out of its way to cater to our special dietary needs.

Cynzia and Michael are the owners, only 5 or 6 rooms, beautiful remodleing of propery. Rooms VERY spacious, extremely nice. Michael cooks a fantastic breakfast each morning, as well as coffee, light foods out. Are as interactive (or not) as you would like them to be, not pushy. Cynzia was an excellent guide/resource for sites, walking routes, things to do. An awesome place especially for first time visitors to Florence as we were. Great location for being able to walk everywhere and not need a car. Would recommend without any reservations whatsoever, look forward to returning.

San Marco is a church and monastery set in Florence, dating back to the 15th century. The most notable aspects of San Marco are the frescos by Fra Angelico, a much-revered Renaissance painter. A museum is on site, and tours are available.
