We enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime. The neighborhood was interesting to walk and felt safe. The lovely beach was right there, an inside hotel entry to very large shopping mall with food court, interesting sidewalk cafes all over, and friendly people. Language was a problem as we expected some English and more Spanish. We found a cafe where the waiter simply brought us great food at very reasonable prices. Wise to brush up on Portugese. Getting to Santos was a challenge as we got on the wrong bus line. We were given a refund and sent on the right bus when we found a Spanish speaking supervisor. Use the EXPRESS BUS to the Santos terminal then a short taxi ride. Very convenient to piers if you are connecting to a cruise. Cruises in that area are used by Brazilians with few other nationalities. Made it interesting but a little challenging at times. Would still do it again.
