“I would recommend this hotel!”

Compared to the surrounding city this is a great hotel that I would recommend to anyone staying in Santo Domingo. It is not new but staff are friendly, helpful and always seen polishing and cleaning. It is not a resort and the property certainly doesn't compare to something like a Disney property. The main thing to remember is that, for its location, it is exceptional and good value for the money.

I really enjoyed my stay at Jaragua! it was conveniently located right across from the ocean. The service was great and the food was amazing. The bar next to the pool was my favorite place. I met great new people and the bartender Alex was great and created great memories for my friend and I. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the location was beautiful. For this price it was amazing and i would definitely recommend all to this hotel! I cant wait to return.

“Depends on what you want”

La Jaragua is not convenient to the pristine natural environment. Stay here if you want to be a city dweller. You can walk a few kilometers to El Conde, Calle de las Damas, and other historical sites as well as easily enjoy the street festivals on Avenida George Washington. It is a very secure hotel, the staff was one of the friendliest I've ever encountered in travels to almost 30 countries and hundreds of hotels. However, if you are looking to enjoy the natural environment such as the amazing ecotourism opportunities, stay at a resort closer to where you want to explore the natural environment. It is possible to arrange eco-tours from this hotel and they will pick you up and return you. It's just a matter of what you want. The city of Santo Domingo itself is surprisingly underwhelming considering it is the oldest city in the western hemisphere; they could go a lot farther to highlight the historical richness of the city. Bottom line, this is a great hotel, amazing staff, awesome pool.

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was very clean, the AC worked great, the bathroom was big, and the staff was very friendly. We loved the fact that they had great restaurants within the hotel. I definitely would go back next time.

Priced right, and within its class gives full satisfaction for your money. Located in the best part of town, safe, secure and very clean, with plenty of parking. The only point to make- is absence of the elevator at the garden building and super bad breakfast! It worth as much as you pay for it, and you pay nothing - though free breakfast is kept as a secret when you are checking in: we stayed several times, but only last time this secret was accidently disclosed to us by another guest.

My future wife and I stayed at the Hotel for 8 days and we had a phenomenal time. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they treat you with enormous amount of respect and are there for every little need. The rooms in the towers are beautiful and better than any that I have stayed in the New York City. The room service was fantastic and everything was always very clean and well take care of. If you needed anything at all, you just dial guest services and they were on it. The pool and fitness center were absolutely perfect and we had a lot of fun in the casino. At night we would go to the colonial zone or a restaurant in the city. One night we went to a club called LOFT and that was pretty cool. Taxi service was amazing, just make sure you use an outside service they are far more reasonable. Overall, this place was amazing and would stay here any time of the year!
