Great location for unforgettable sunsets. Walk to Oia can be tough in the summer months, but it's probably a must if you're in Santorini. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the hotel staff will help you get around as needed. Great food, the breakfasts are massive and delicious. Only drawbacks were that the jacuzzi didn't get hot enough and there is no shade on the balcony or anywhere else in the hotel, unless you are inside your room

A very pleasant stay
It was a very pleasant stay. The gentleman at the reception (I think his name is Panos - my apologies if I have it wrong) was very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport was very friendly as well. We also booked a 5 hr tour and he was explaining and telling us the details of each site. The view from the room was exceptional and it was a plus to have a heated/jetted tub right outside our room, which we get to enjoy two nights out of the three. The breakfast was one of the things we look forward to every morning. Overall, everyone at this place is great! I would definitely recommend this place.

The staff were personable and informative. They were able to answer any questions we had made excellent recommendations on where to eat and what to visit around the island. They also had their own transportation service which made traveling around the island convenient. Our room had a beautiful view and we had a view of the sunset every evening given Abyssanto's location on the island. The breakfast was amazing and the staff truly try to pamper their guests and give them a memorable experience.

The property was amazing. The view from the hotel is worth a million dollars. The staff and service was excellent. We were there for our wedding anniversary and they went above and beyond with a flowers, a cake and a bottle of champagne. I highly recommend this place.

Breath taking views, quality daily breakfasts ( too much food ). Would skip their guided tours, more value in renting an ATV, small island east to navigate. Couples massage was so relaxing. Highly recommend Dear Eli and avocado restaurants across the street and for some local less expensive meals be sure to try Anogi. Perfect island to celebrate a milestone anniversary. Bucket list ✅

The guest had booked the FAMILY SUITE that has easy access to the pool and sunbeds for parents to check their kids (that's why we call it the family suite) but the guest choose it because that was cheaper and he didn't book the "Private suite" but he asks to have it for free us "free upgrade". Also, all the time he was asking for "complimentary transfers", a complimentary mini-bar, and if there is something for FREE he wanted it. I am really sorry but as you don't work for FREE also here we don't work for FREE.

Great location with beautiful views and lots of dining options with the same great sunset views and an easy walk. The hotelier, Panagliotis, was very pleasant and accommodating. The tours offered thru the suites were well organized and high quality. We did the catamaran sunset cruis and wine tasting. Had a wonderful massage on site. We had 2 issues with our room: hot tub not working the 1st 2 nights but finally fixed on our last night and it was delightful under the full moon. Shower pressure is low and slow to drain. The daily breakfast was delicious and great variety. And the daily cleaning service was great. 10 min drive to downtown, Fira, and 20 minutes drive to Oia. Would definitely recommend.

The view was absolutely breath taking and just majestic. The owner went out of his way to ensure we were having a good time and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delivered to your balcony which was was plentiful and incredible, a different menu everyday. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed without asking. Staff was always with a smile, very friendly and accommodating.

The property itself were great. The issue is that the general manager and the rest of the staff only care about you spending more money. I scheduled what was supposed to be a private transfer to the ferry but had another couple from the hotel join last minute. I was told we needed to leave for the ferry 1pm because of “traffic” when the ferry was at 3:30pm. The general manger completely ruined and wasted my last day in Santorini by saying we had to leave at 1pm just so he had enough time to swing by the airport first to drop off the other couple who joined us for the ride first. The other couple thought they were paying for a private shuttle service as well. When i complained to management about they blatantly lying to me the day before they made excuses and said they would not refund me unless I came back to the hotel. They completely ruined my last day and would not even refund the ride. They only care about taking your money at this hotel.

Dear guest thank you so much for your review, first of all, you spend at the island only two days and as you see we did everything to help you to do as much as you can. For example, we helped you to have a wine tour semi-private and all the other quests were waiting for you cause you had been delayed from your boat trip. After the wine tasting, we had arranged for you to have a private transfer from the winery to Oia but at the last minute you cancel it and you asked for your "money back" again, we refund your money the next day in the morning on check out at 11:00 am and as you had the time in the morning to go to Oia BUT you didn't ask for a new transfer to Oia or if it is possible to pick you up from Oia for the port, the only thing that you asked is "my money back" and how much time before you had to be at the port before, and I answer to you that the safety for your boat was to start 2h & 30 before but cause you wanted to stay more I TEXTED you that we can transfer you at 1:30 (2 hours before) but you didn't answer to me and return at the same time with the other quest that had the transfer for 13:00 for the airport. I told you that you will go together but you didn't refuse and when the first stop was at the airport and not at the port you "asked again for your money back" and screamed at me and at the driver. The difference in the time was 10 minutes but it was a good occasion for you to ask for your money back and as I tried to calm down you and also I said to you the next time if you want to come and to give you the best upgrade you still says "I want my money back".

Great view & breakfast! Small rooms, cool tubs.
This hotel is in a beautiful location! The views are stunning. The breakfast is generous and high quality. The extras that are offered by the hotel are very enjoyable, we did the wine tasting tour and it was one of our most enjoyable days on the island. The rooms are smaller than they appeared in the listing and that made things feel cramped at times. Most of the rooms have one small window which looks out at the view and a regular size door that can be opened to add to the view. Our room had a door facing another direction so our only view was through the very small window. In fairness, many of the hotels in Santorini are built in this style, but we will definitely be looking for a place with bigger windows and more access to the view from inside the unit next time we visit. The hero of this place is the outdoor jacuzzi tubs, that sit perched on the edge of the dramatic cliff and offer unparalleled views of the caldera and a sunset that will make you wish you could stop time and stay forever. Unfortunately, we like a jacuzzi hot!! And although the staff made considerable effort to get our tub hot, it never did reach a fully comfortable temperature. However we were there when the weather was cooler, it was quite windy and there was some light drizzling rain. All perfect conditions to relax in a HOT tub, but not so much, a lukewarm tub. For us, it was a huge disappointment. Again, the staff did try to resolve this, it just couldn’t be fixed.

Dear Mrs. Christine, first of all, thank you so much for your review, through our property, there are different types of suites but ALL are with a view of the sea, sunset, caldera, and nearby islands. As you see the panoramic view is getting from your bed, from your balcony, and also from your private HOT jet tub. As you see through the rules the HIGHEST temperature for a hot jet tub must be 36 Celsius (96.8 F) degrees cause in other cases your body will be in hyperthermia. I personally broke the rules and turn it on to the highest level of 40 Celcius (104 F) and we had also jacuzzi cover protections to keep it hot all the time BUT when the weather is windy, rainy and 14 Celcius cold (57.2 F), of course, when you uncovered it the heat will be as I show you at 32 celsius (89.8 F). As you say also and thank you for that the view from the jacuzzi through the sunset is UNPARALLED, the breakfast perfect, the staff helpful all the time, and the wine tour that I recommend you perfectly again. I am really sorry for the "small" window but this is the typical architecture of the Cyclades Islands and I am really sorry that I hadn't the option to give you a FREE upgrade cause all our bigger suites were full. I hope to give the opportunity to see you again on our property and I wish to have better weather.

What an amazing experience we had! My wife and I have traveled all over the world together but but attention that our host gave us was like no other! Soooo this place is absolutely amazing. I think staying in this are Imerovigly you get the best sunset views of Sanotrini, yes better than Oia. The breakfast is AMAZING, the staff is superb! They help you plan your days when you get there and give you all the help and tips you need for your stay. Just wait til you get there and they do EVERYTHIG FOR YOU! We were so so happy there! I mean it was dreamy, we loved the location we felt like we were right in the middle of the island so not too far from anything,,,,Dont think about it! Stay here, confidently!

An amazing place to stay with incredible views over the Caldera and sunset. Impeccable service, nothing was too much trouble. There’s plenty of places to eat close by, but it’s also an easy 25 min lovely walk into Fira for more choice. The breakfasts that are brought to your room are incredible, huge choice of dishes, far too much to eat all of it! Thoroughly recommended.

My family (including 3 picky College kids) absolutely loved Abyssanto! It’s just like the movies! Spectacular view & private jacuzzi & pool. Pano & his staff were excellent in every way! Picked us up at the airport , served us wine & drinks upon arrival & gave us excellent dinner & activity recommendations. He got us THE BEST tables at wonderful restaurants in Oia & Fira and he set us up with an amazing private boat excursion for the day. The breakfast was outstanding each day & served to us on our beautiful patio with spectacular view each morning. the location is perfect - easy to walk to shops, bars & restaurants & when we needed transportation , Pano happily arranged for us. My wife and I had a really great stay at Abyssanto for our honeymoon. The hotel has an immaculate view of the caldera, with a great location within Imerovigli. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The manager, Mr. Drossos, was kind enough to upgrade our suite when he found out it was our honeymoon. He also arranged our sunset boat tour, dinner reservations, wine tour, massages, transfers and other activities. He does it all, literally! The rooms were all very clean. The breakfasts were also really outstanding. Our only complaint would be that the pool water was extremely cold. The pool was very clean and nice but hard to enjoy with such cold water. We would highly recommend Abyssanto Suites & Spa!

Junior Suite for a week
The manager started the checkin process off with being super nice and offering a ton of information for our stay and possible tours/discounts. For a week stay the room was a little small for storage, but the bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of room. There was AC however the coldest setting (turbo) would turn off every hour, so the nights were a little warm. However the manager did accommodate fan request. Breakfast was included and handled by a very small kitchen, so you have to request a time block that doesn’t overlap another rooms. However the manager was super accommodating and even found dairy free options for diet needs!! Just be sure to voice all your preferences are voiced before 9pm and they do their best to make it happen! The private hot tub for this suite had a little lounge pad which I highly suggest, it made for great sunsets and lounging after breakfast. I highly suggest a room with a lounge pad (there are only about 4). Keep in mind the hot tub area did not offer much shade, though I didn’t ask for a spare umbrella. I would suggest this. The manager was very accommodating on helping us get a better deal on a catamaran trip and drive us around for a price! The pool offers a swim up bar, where the manger will make a couple special cocktails, at decent prices. The villas are walking distants from several restaurants, a mini market, and the rock hike! The local bus stop was only about 5 minute walk, which offer cheap prices!

This was a very unique property in Santorini. The room was a cave and has blue everywhere. It was just what we wanted for a hotel in Greece. Every morning we got breakfast delivered to our room and we had an excellent view from our patio. The staff was helpful and you could arrange transportation and tours from the front desk. Overall it was great, we would recommend it! About a 30 minute walk from the cable car.

The manager is absolutely horrible. Our flight arrived at 3AM and I had scheduled a pickup at the airport through the hotel. They stated a driver would be outside with a sign with my name on it. I couldn’t get my phone to work so after 20 minutes we decided to take a taxi. While in the taxi I finally got my phone working and got through to the hotel. The manager argued with me that the guy is at the airport and hung up on me. When we got to the hotel the gate was locked. The same guy answered and was upset that we were already there, we had to wait another 20 minutes for the driver to show up with our room key. Our room was far from what was stated on the booking. I went down in the morning to discuss the driver not being there and to get a different room. He argued with me that he was there and basically called me a liar. Refused to change the room even after I showed him the printed out booking stating that we would have a private balcony. I told him that I wanted to cancel the remaining days and he refused because it said non refundable. I argued that it should be because we didn’t get what was stated on the booking. He still refused. I’ve been to santorini many times and the hotels have booked four wheelers or mopeds for us. When I asked if he can book some he asked if we had some special grey license. We walk down the street and had them in a matter of minutes. They told us not to drink the water but only gave us two free water bottle the first night and charged us for t

Beautiful location, great people, but....
The staff at this hotel are outstanding. Very kind and friendly. We had a great holiday. The food from the kitchen is great and it is shame that the restaurant is not used more. We were the only diners there while we stayed. However I know the reason why which is one reason why I did not give a higher rating. The hotel does not accept credit cards on site. They only accept cash for any room service or any excursions you book through them. In this day and age in a luxury location (where you spend a lot) this is a "no-no". They need to get this fixed. The views from the hotel are unbelievable. It is like the postcard image. The sunsets are fantastic. I took my son for his summer holiday but this place is made for couples. So romantic. My second reason why I did not give top marks was the place really needs to be refurbished once a year after the season. Re-painted, everything in top order for the next season. Speaking with the manager the hotel had not been through such an update for at least 5 years. This showed on some of the paint and the jacuzzi in the room (we didn't use it) and our shower had a tendency to flood (the drains had not been cleared). If these issues were attended to I would have given this place an excellent rating because the staff are marvelous!!

This is an awesome hotel - exceptional views, exceptional rooms, exceptional hospitality & exceptional management. People come to Santorini to see the beautiful water and sunsets. This is a great place to soak it all in. The views are awesome. The rooms are built on/in terraces of the hill. Every room has a fantastic view. The room and the entire property were extremely clean and well tended. I know this is considered a 5 star property, if available, I'd give them 6. Hotel staff at all levels were focused on guest happiness and guest service. It's clear they were all very well trained and enjoyed their work. Special accolades for Athina, property manager for orchestrating a great staff. Every one of the staff members worked with a smile and with joy.

Location is incredible, view is amazing. Friendly, helpful staff and delicious food too. Pool and Jacuzzi clean and relaxing. Staff knowledgeable and want to help you plan your day. Can walk into Fira and Skaros is down the path. Was delayed arriving (flights) but allowed check in early, very appreciated.
