“What a Gem”

If you are looking for something exceptional then look no further. This hotel is well situated on the outskirts of Thira (next to some of the best restaurants on the island). The staff made our stay an unforgetable experience and we cannot praise them all highly enough. In our opinion the Aigialos Luxury Traditional Settlement is one not to miss!

“Charming and quaint”

We really enjoyed our stay at Aigialos. The hotel is very charming and quaint, and the staff very friendly no matter what time of day. The two things we would change are the two twin beds pushed together to make a queen bed (but we understand this is the way a lot of European hotels are) and the shower/bathroom was really small. Overall we were pleased. The view was amazing and our little veranda was awesome. Enjoyed our stay.

“Loved the view, hated the bed.”

The staff was fabulous, very gracious and welcoming. Anything we needed was quickly provided. The hotel is well maintained and recently upgraded however the bed was as hard as the marble floor which might be preferred by some but not me. The hotel was very clean however the steps down to the hotel is the same path the donkeys take to work each day and we had to navigate around the donkey poo for several hours until it was cleaned. The location was at the far end of the town so for folks looking for peace and quiet (other than the passing donkey bells) this is a great location. If you want to be closer to the activities of shopping and eating then you'll want a hotel closer to the tram.
