We arrived at Thira airport in the morning and a member of staff from the hotel was there to meet us as they had arranged the transfer for us (you have to pay extra for this but it is a lot cheaper than a taxi). Once we arrived at the hotel we were told that they had a surprise for us and that our room had been upgraded to a junior suite (rather than a superior double). Our room was clean, nicely decorated, lovely bathroom and we had a Jacuzzi on our balcony!
Santorini was very warm the week we were there so we didn't actually visit much of the island apart from on the penultimate day as it was too hot to do anything. However, we were more than happy to lie beside the pools in the hotels on the luxury beds and have a quick dip in the pool. Although the hotel is right next to a busy road the huge white wall that separates you from the road makes you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere!
We walked down to the beach on a daily basis (less than 5 min walk) and had dinner as a different restaurant every evening but we decided that we'd much rather spend most of our days at the hotel by the pool than at the beach which is a black volcanic beach!
On the penultimate day we went on a boat trip which was also upgraded. Even though we were not supposed to end in oia they agreed to drive us there and back for no extra charge.
Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was beautiful, food was good - a fantastic holiday and we would definitely go again!

Very courteous staff came to meet us at the taxi, and took us to our Suite. The Suite architecture is unique, shaped like a cave on the edge of Santorini Caldera. The view is fantastic.
Breakfast was served on our patio, overlooking the beautiful ocean view.
Downton Fira is about 20 minutes walk.

My wife and I stayed here in September 2014 for 5 nights. It is a boutique hotel with great facilities and friendly staff. The view of the caldera from all part of the hotel was magnificent.
We requested several extra services such as restaurant booking, taxi and car hires from the hotel and they were all arranged to perfection.
It is a lovely and quiet hotel, nested on the cliff side, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the main town centre of Oia, but still close enough to take a slow walk to town in 10 min.
Definitely a great choice of accommodation if you are visiting Santorini.

Cannot fault the hotel, it's facilities or staff. The 1 downside is location. Akrotiri is quite isolated and public transport links finish at 9pm. Meaning to enjoy the livelier parts of the island cost quite a bit in taxi fares.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 night for the end of our honeymoon. It was amazing, we wouldn't need anything more. From the moment we turned up the staff are so friendly and go far and beyond for service. The views were amazing, the breakfast was fresh and plenty to snack on during the day. We would recommend this place to everyone and we will return back in future as we were convinced we had the best spot on the island.
