basic but okPosted May 31, 2015
as a base the hotel is fine, staff pleasant apart from one unhelpful miserable man. rooms clean but basic. WiFi unstable whilst there. Perrisa was fairly quiet but I imagine chaos at peak season.

the owner / operator is a scammer! Be VERY carefulPosted Sep 4, 2014 on Hotels
I suffered a huge violation of my rights with the staff there. Their system didnt show my booking and payment from this website. After I checked out they claimed I didnt pay even though I showed them payment confirmation from this site PLUS my bank statements online. They refused to give me my belongings (that i had left in the holding area for the morning), literally kept them hostage until i made a cash payment. they FORCED me to pay twice. The money from my account was transferred to them PLUS they got the cash off me. When I arrived home I emailed them mutiple times wanting a refund of the amount they took from my account. They never responded, so unprofessional! How can it be ok for them to keep my belonings from me (in a locked room, mind you), force me to pay them cash in order to get my belongings off them and then refuse to refund me my money for the double payment? I would NEVER recommend for anyone to go there!

Nice, simple hotel, close to the beach.Posted Jul 15, 2013
The hotel was lovely, nothing extravagant, but just what we needed. Close enough to walk to the beach comfortably. The best part of the hotel was Irina! She was like the Saint of Santorini, I forgot my guide book and we needed advice on where to go for the day. She was very helpful and suggested an agenda and we took off from there. She served the breakfast in the morning and it was wonderful to get to know her, but the food was just not my type of breakfast: bread, toast, cookies, tea, coffee, juice. I needed something like eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, so we eventually bought some yogurt at the supermarket instead. The breakfast was 5 euros per day, but in the end they said it was included since I paid ahead with Expedia. The shower has the best hot water in the evening because it is heated with the sun. The wind blows very hard at night and in the early morning, so the first night seemed noisy, but then we got used to it. The beds are small and not luxurious, we had two twin beds (my teenage daughter and I) and were able to sleep just fine. We rented a 4 wheel ATV the first day which was super fun! The next days we rented a car instead because I had a previous hand injury and driving the ATV made it worse, but otherwise you could rent an ATV for your whole stay. I hope one day we can go back to Santorini. I would bring more family and we would stay at Hotel Amaryllis again for sure!
