A gem in Oia, SantoriniPosted Jan 17, 2014
Location: The bus to Fira stops right in front of the hotel should you want to go to other towns. But everything in Oia is a short walk away.
We had a wonderful stay at Atlantida Villas. It was a great location...not too close to the "downtown" of Oia but at the same time just a quick walk into town. They have a beautiful view as does most places here. What I found very special was the attention paid to every resident by George. He was a great pleasure to work with and made our stay very enjoyable. The beds are a little basic but the rest of the experience more than makes up for it.

Lovely Funky HotelPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: It's location in that it was away from the crowds and the jumble of Oia.
Cons: A bit of variation at breakfast would be nice and they could update the bathrooms but this is a bit of an older hotel so it's pretty normal.
Location: There are two very nice places to eat nearby: one a taverna called Mu (great live music) and another fancier restaurant called Finiki's Place.
We were truly charmed by this wonderful little hotel in our stay in Oia. It's a bit outside of Oia but that's great as you don't have crowds of cruise tourists to deal with but the town is a short and beautiful 10 minute walk along the edge of the caldra. The views from our room and indeed from pretty well anywhere in the hotel are truly spectacular. The breakfasts are simple (a bit repetitive) but delicious, especially the Greek yogurt with honey and fresh fruit. The staff is pretty well invisible except at breakfast and at reception. George arranged for us to be picked up at the old port (very worth it at 30 euros as it's far!) and they upgraded us without asking to a room a bit away from the pool and higher up so we had a better view of those famous sunsets as well a bit more privacy. The rooms are clean but a bit funky (hence the title!) as our bedroom loft was up a flight of stairs that were abit challenging in the dark. Bathrooms are small and basic and certainly not luxurious but they worked just fine and there was plenty of hot water. The pool area was mostly deserted during our stay but I must say we used it every day after our travels or hikes and again love the view! Overall I would not only recommend this hotel but would return myself. Not a five star but very casual, relaxed and clean with amazing views,

The hotel is really tired and can do with a make over. Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Generous breakfast.

Close to townPosted Jun 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel was situated about a good 10-15min walk to Oia town center - convenient to get to everything. Our apartment was clean and neat. Downside was that only one main room had air conditioning. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful Views and Great ServicePosted Jun 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
We had a lovely 4 night stay! The views from every room's balcony are to die for, as well as at the hotel's pool, and being close to Oia was a great location since that was my favorite town in Santorini (the hotel is about a beautiful 10 minute walk along a pathway to town). Our bed/mattress wasn't the most comfy I've ever had but I slept well enough, and our bathroom was a typical European one (not much counter space and you have to throw the toilet paper in the trash, not the toilet, but that's pretty much every where in Greece) but it was very clean. The hotel was quiet and the owner who served us breakfast every morning was fantastic, and very helpful when we asked questions about renting a car or booking a boat tour. The included breakfast was great! Boiled eggs, juice and coffee, pound cake, bread, homemade delicious greek yogurt with honey and fruit, and a different little sandwich or crepe made fresh every morning. I really looked forward to it.

Uncomfortable henhouse.Posted Nov 5, 2008
This hotel was a huge disappointment. I am not even sure why it is called a hotel - even basic amenities were not in the bathroom - shampoo, shower cup, etc. It had a terrace, yes, with old uncomfortable chairs, and there was a grid across so when you sit to admire the view, you marvel at the grid. It was just such a basic two-star level establishment, and far from the town. Breakfast was paltry and frugal, too. The bed was at the loft over a stair, on the pictures it looked cute, but in fact it was very uncomfortable and the bed is small, too. The room is just so crampy as a hen house. This is definitely a VERY budget place with no perks whatsoever. In addition, it is very loud, i.e. you will hear all the other guests. I would never come back there.

Volcanos villas has an excellent location with tremendous views of the caldra.Typical greek basic but comfortable room.Breakfast is served on the balcony of the main building with far reaching views of the island of Thirissia.Definately worth a return visit.
