Postcard locationPosted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Staff are excellent and location is perfect. We had 2 adults and 2 teanage girls and stayed in the cave apartment. There were 2 separate rooms.
Location: It is a 15 minute stroll along the paths to the central village with panoramic views of the Santorini village. The cruise liners park below.
This hotel is set amoungst the hotels in the postcards that promote Santorini. It is the place to stay. You can walk to all the key activity centres from here. Be aware that outside this location You will require transport and it is quite barren between the out of town resorts and the main town. As per many Greek hotels, they did not have a shower nozzle holder. When staff realised that we were not familiar with showering with one hand, the fitted the holder - we did not need to ask.

Beautiful Views and Top Notch StaffPosted May 23, 2015
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nomikos. We had a great view off our balcony (room 10 I think). The rooms are quaint and cozy. The hotel is literally built into the side of the mountain which was neat but two drawbacks: 1) I stand at 6'2" so I came home with a few dents on the head (the rock will always win that battle) and 2) the humidity was pretty high in the room. Be sure to keep the bathroom closed and vent on during a shower...that was our mistake. The staff made the trip that much more enjoyable. They were always extremely helpful and welcoming. We lost our luggage upon arriving in Santorini and they went above and beyond in pointing us towards affordable replacements (to avoid tourist pricing :) and helping us with some expedient laundry. We would visit here again!

Santorini at its bestPosted May 6, 2015
Incredible staff, Soriri, Natalia, Yiya, Elena and all the others. Ask and they shall make it happen, reservations, recommendations, transportation, etc. Close to centre of Fira. Far enough to be away from the cruise ship crowds. Traditional rooms add to the experience of Greece. Not a single complaint. Bravo

Gorgeous views across FiraPosted Oct 20, 2014
Cute hotel with gorgeous views across Fira - ask for room 12 for the best terrace. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was rather hard and uncomfortable but rooms were very clean.

Loved it! Beautiful views, great staffPosted Sep 7, 2014 on Hotels
We just stayed there for two nights, after staying in Oia for 2 nights, and loved it. The views from our room were amazing - and we got to eat breakfast on our balcony each morning. It was a great location and we were able to easily walk to restaurants each night. It was very hard to find when we arrived though - as none of the little alleys have names. Would recommend calling ahead of time to arrange to meet at a meeting place so they can show you where it is. The bed was stiff, but it was at the other hotel we stayed at too, so it may be a Greek thing. Overall, would recommend it!

Great location. Some staff are not helpfulPosted Aug 25, 2014 on Hotels
If you don't stay in Oia, this is at one of the best locations near Fira. You can walk to Fira in 10 mins, and the specific location really oversees some great view of the caldera and surrounding neighborhood. Some of the staff are helpful, however, there are certain front desk staff that are not very friendly or helpful. The room we stayed (pool side) is generally good size, but the bathroom is so small that you won't be able to take your shower standing up. Wish I booked a different room.

Hard to find but spectacular viewPosted Aug 19, 2014 on Hotels
30-min walk from Fira center/bus station. But definitely worth the walk to obtain this spectacular view. Perfect place for watching sunset.

NomikosPosted Aug 9, 2014
