Cheap Option in Great Location

I stayed at Hotel Santorini to cap off my Greek island-hopping. I was concerned on the bus ride from the port about lugging my bags through Fira, having no idea where the hotel was located. Luckily, Hotel Santorini is in perfect view when pulling into the bus station. The hotel is located away from the craziness of Fira, but close enough to walk and see the caldera in minutes. The room is quaint. I stayed in a single, with a spring mattress twin bed. The bathroom is clean, with a handheld shower and no shower barriers, so be careful not to soak your towels. I had a balcony with a view overlooking the patio of the hotel. The A/C in my room would sometimes short circuit, but the hotel owner was helpful to fix it everytime. A maid also helped another time. The TV had only one functioning channel. My main problem was that the hotel does not accept credit cards, cash only. The Expedia website states that it does, but this is incorrect. I had asked the front desk before I checked in, but maybe my question was conveniently lost in translation. For the cheap price in a good location, I would recommend Hotel Santorini. If you're hoping for a luxurious accommodation with picturesque views, I would stay elsewhere.
