The hotel was lovely and in a fantastic location. The beach was a very short walk away (at the end of the road) and the choice of restaurants / bars, all within a short walk, were great. The hotel was lovely and the staff extremely helpful and welcoming. If I ever go back to Santorini, I wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again.

Absolutely best choice we could make picking this little gem. The pool area is peaceful, clean and lovely. There are always sun beds available. Toilets are exceptionally clean and also all areas. Daily housekeeping provided. The staff are very helpful and they are very pleasant and kind. The beach is 1min walk away. We have stayed in the economy room for 8 nights and it was more than enough for us. Highly recommended this hotel. Best wishes!

The hotel is so convenient for the beach and tavernas yet situated on a quiet back street. The staff are amazingly helpful and really make this hotel. Our ( standard) room was spacious and clean. Perissa is not the pretty side of the island but staying here is affordable and the hotel is well situated for the bus stop to take you to Fira and Oia . Staff were great at arranging taxis too - we visited pretty Red Beach (15 min taxi ride) The hotel has a lovely pool with bar which never felt overcrowded and we were able to use it and the showers after we had checked out and were awaiting our flight , a very thoughtful touch

Wonderful place
This place is real oasis of calm, it’s in an excellent location, it’s extremely clean and the staff are all so so lovely. It’s peaceful and relaxing. The beach is a few minutes walk and there is an array of restaurants and shops close by. This hotel was the best thing about our stay in Santorini and I wouldn’t hesitate to return, or to highly recommend it.

Really great hotel. Clean rooms, nice shower, and amazing friendly staff. Only 4 minutes walk to the beach, with complimentary sunbeds. Only minor issue is there is no onsite restaurant. They have an arrangement to get food delivered, but it would be nice to have a restaurant serving breakfast on site. Didn't spoil our stay, and would stay again.

I would certainly recommend this hotel. There is a very nice large pool, which is quite private and has plenty of room. The room was large with a beautiful balcony but a somewhat small bathroom. Staff was friendly. The beach is only 3 min. walk away and it is probably the best beach on the island. There is much to see on Santorini. My only minor complaints are that the water is not drinkable and there was noise from the room above. It may be some distance from the capital Fira but there is a regular and reliable bus.

The staff could not have been kinder. So helpful. Offered use of the property even after check out as our flight was late, including a shower area. Very quiet, sunny, beautiful property with private balcony. Very clean, comfortable beds, large rooms and painted beautiful. No coffee in room though but sweet little bar downstairs! ❤️

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room kept so clean. Explained that we couldn’t drink tap water so had provided a bottle for arrival and a bottle of wine!! Lots of eating places within a short walk. All similar price ranges a few more expensive but generally the same .. generally all good quality food.. Would highly recommend Smaragdi as a base.

We stayed 1 night … but wished we’d stayed longer. Check in, check out - so easy. Our room was spacious, as well as the bathroom. Every area was spotless. We walked to the beach, then used the pool. They housed our luggage while we continued exploring. They had beach towels for use too. Well worth it!

Beautiful Hotel, Great People and Service.
Very welcoming and helpful staff with a perfect environment for a relaxing stay, close to all amenities and the beach. Myself and my partner found this to be perfect for what we wanted and would love to return. Transfers were arranged with no trouble, meals were sorted and all the help you could require was on hand. The pool area is paradise and our "partial sea view" balcony was the perfect private area to relax and watch the world go by. We love Santorini.

A hidden gem 5/5 didn’t disappoint
Staff are fantastic and friendly. Knowledgeable and pleasant to spend time with as I went in the quieter season. Can’t do enough and deal with everything straight away. Such a pleasant little place, peaceful and beautiful. Nice rooms and 2 mins to the beach. They have free parking which they don’t advertise and give free sun beds at the beach. They a family run place and talking to guests some people have gone for 10+ years. 5 mins from local beachside restaurants and in the middle of the famous beach. On the quieter side of the island but a short taxi if you want a busier side of things but this place offered enough for me for a few days and I did a day trip to see the more famous/Instagram parts but honestly this place was a hidden gem

The staff at the Smaragdi Hotel are quite Sumy fantastic - quite simply the best. Attention to every detail and nothing too much trouble. So kind. We arrived early but were able to check in without a problem and the bar/pool area was wonderful. They even brought us clothes pegs for our swimstuff which was drying outside but at risk of blowing away in the wind. Highly recommended.

This was a little difficult to find at first. There is parking in a lot nearby. Nice pool, quite cool. Service was great, as was our room. It was windy while we were here so we did not go to the beach, but enjoyed the pool area. The area isn’t great and you definitely need a car. Upon arrival via ferry we found a rather dirty car for 25 euro a day which was great. In our room there were drawers, but they were rather difficult to open. Bed was 2 twins without the centre piece so if you want to cuddle someone will end up half in the hole. Otherwise the room Size is good and we had a nice deck. We would stay here again.

Beautiful grounds, nice pool area, great location...so close to the beach. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is the bed was extremely firm and the pillows were very lumpy. That is my only compliant. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful!
