Perfectly fine affordable hotelPosted Oct 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Villa Anemone was a very quaint stay in Santorini. The staff was very nice and the room was clean and quaint. Only real problem with the hotel is that it's on the east side of the island so you don't have a view of the sunset; which should have been obvious to me when I booked it. That's not really a problem since it's a short walk to Fira, but if I could do it again, I probably would've spent a bit more money for a hotel in Oia with a view of the sunset to avoid having to deal with the insane crowds around sunset time. But, again, none of that is Villa Anemone's fault. It's a perfectly fine, comfortable, reasonably priced hotel.

Cozy Room with amazing viewPosted Sep 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Got a triple room at the highest level with a perfect sunrise view! You have to catch it at 630-7am! Room was very clean and cosy with fridge and balcony. Walking distance but upslope to the town. The only downside was the packages promoted by the hotel were way overpriced. In town you can buy tour tickets at about 10 euros cheaper and Quads can be rented at 15euro/day or 20euros for 2 days (low season Sept)

Comfy hotel good valuePosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Tea/ coffee facilities
This hotel is very clean with friendly staff. It has a swimming pool and if lucky you can get a nice private balcony with sea view. It is about 10 mins walk to Fira town centre and on a steep hill. No tea/ coffee facilities in the room however self service available during reception opening hours :) would def. recommend and would stay here again

Disappointing FacilitiesPosted Sep 10, 2013
Cons: The entire property needs to be renovated.
Location: Compared to similar hotels in Fira, this one is quite far from the city center.
The hotel visit began with a convenient pick up from the Port by a jovial older gentleman. However, things quickly went downhill. The facilities were disappointing. The mattresses were uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny. There weren't enough towels. The Internet we were promised did not work in our room. The picture of the pool is a work of create photography. Also, the hotel is a ten minute walk to the town, all of it up hill. We found other hotels on the island that were much nicer and in the center of town for roughly the same price. Our original plan was to stay two nights. We decided to leave after one. A sign in the room very clearly stated that checking out early would entail being charged the full price for the first night and 50% for subsequent nights. We left around 9 in the morning, well before check-out time. However, the receptionist tried quite hard to charge us the full price for both nights. Only after a significant period of negotiation did she relent.

So Friendly and HelpfulPosted Jul 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed for 3 nights in Villa Anemone. It is a little bit out of Fira (5 min walk) but it is a great place. The staff is hugely friendly and accommodating. They asked if we were interested in renting a scooter or car and when we said yes, they had one delivered to us. When we asked questions about the island they were a wealth of information. They booked tours for us in 5 mins flat. They even picked us up at the ferry terminal at 11:30 pm (our ferry was late) and dropped us off at the airport when we left. So helpful, gracious and refused to take any extra money for driving etc. I would totally recommend them.

Cozy small hotelPosted Jun 20, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, staff, comfortable
Cons: There was no wifi access from my room on the second floor
Location: rent ATVs to get around the island. Walk to Fira.
Great hotel - staff was extremely kind. Helped us rent ATVs and picked us up from the airport. A bit of a hike to go to Fira. Would recommend renting ATVs
