We appreciated the receptionist offering a late checkout due to our very late arrival. It was a great help! The room was comfortable. Breakfast was good but very busy.

room very old style of hotel and room not sound like sheraton style smelling , mattress was hard like you go to old chinese hotel brand , also get bad experience the reception manager tell me all hospital get test covid in 5 hours i ask him double check he said hospital next hotel just 400m walk can do i went there and i made test my flight was at 11:25pm until 8 pm no result in the app i went to hospital to learn this one is military hospital has old system only paper version can give was ready only at 9:30 i had to run to airport to catch up my flight

Worth the price I guess.
Awesome view, great room space, breakfast was reasonably good though roasted tomato's and mushrooms would have helped. Coffee was ordinary, no barrister coffee. Some of the furniture is beginning to get old. Needs a little touch up of paint here and there but not too bad. Rare to find someone who could speak English which made using the services much harder. Staff were very kind and willing to try and help. Sanya bay is not for swimming and the noise from all the dance parties on the beach every night and some mornings was annoying.

Good value
This place is a pretty good value for the money. The hotel is on the older side but well maintained. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast features a good variety and decent quality. The pool is on the smaller side but nice and features a good amount of of seating options. The spa on floor b 1 is a fantastic value. The locating is also pretty good - right across the street from the beach and close to a lot of restaurants / shopping. Overall, it's definitely not the greatest hotel in Sanya but a solid choice for the price.

Awful check in experience
From arriving at the hotel to being settled in our room was at least an hour and a half. I’ve lived in China for 3 years and check in can be a bit slow since they have to do lots of checks but this was a whole new level. When we arrived we were directed to a a receptionist who did the usual taking of passports scanning, we were then asked for when we had landed China, which city flight numbers (these went back 4 months) which has never happened before, after all this she started talking to a colleague for about 15 minutes as something wasn’t right but nothing was communicated, I was then asked to show the booking which I did and after all this they told me they couldn’t find it so we were asked to sit down and wait while they made some calls. After 20 minutes we were told by a different person,Carlton, he’d found it (the issue apparently being that they’d been looking for hotels.com who had in turn booked through expedia( never had this issue it should just come up with a name)) we were then asked to go through the whole passport checking procedure again, we told him we’d already done this even directing him to the colleague who had done this at which point he shouted “it’s government policy” he then continued to be very short and rude with us for the rest of the check in process which was another 20 minutes or so, when we did get to a room it was a small dirty end room and we asked to change luckily the person we asked was more helpful.

Perfect Sanya Hotel
The Staff was perfect. I read the other reviews about language issues...We had none of that. We did not do the "Breakfast Buffet"...it was not a good value for us. But the room and bed were SUPER. The view from the room....awesome.

Old hotel with Spacious room and huge bath room. Swimming pool is small tho. Good selection for breakfast but mostly Chinese cuisine. Good location, around 11RMB taxi to walking street. Need to strengthen staff training, had feedback this to the hotel manager.

Friendly reception and local tour service. Walls in room need cleaning. I suggest some minor renovation to refresh the rooms. Excellent location as base for tourists who plan to visit local attractions.

The worst one night stay
A one night stay was terrible. I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me another room. In the second room there was also a clear stench of cigarettes. The best part was that the previous guest had left a cigarette butt in the shower and no one had cleaned it!! In addition to the smoke smell, the room seemed like there was mold and two nights later after leaving the hotel I still have a cough and stuffed nose. The worst hotel experience in a very long time. While checking out the staff said that we don't actually have non-smoking floors because of the domestic guests that smoke where they please. Unbelievable for an international hotel chain to have such a policy.

Our reservation was canceled despite advance notice that our flight going into Sanya was delayed due to weather the staff couldn’t find my reservation and said it was canceled and they had to rebook me for one night there was a lot of waiting at the lobby for at least 30 minutes and I was not very happy about it. Other than dad know what I was beautiful we have a beach view

Not what I expect from Sheraton
Service was poor. Couldn’t book a taxi from the hotel, menu’s were missing, pool was closed on a Monday, the fridge was broken, loads of lights were out in the corridors, the room wasn’t cleaned until late in the afternoon.

Magnificent Sanya Bay coastline!
Great location at Sanya Bay, bus-stop is just located in front of the hotel very convenient. Magnificent view from the rooftop lounge! Highly recommended

FourPoints by Sheraton. I am surprise to experience the poor condition of a 4-star reputed hotel is not keeping cleanliness and maintainance of hotel room. Dirty day curtain and sofa cover with lots of brownies stained. Room smell of cigarette smoke even stated as non smoking room. Looking down from 20th floor indeed exterior wall of this building require fresh new layer of paint.

Good location for transportation...
1. Wonderful staff: very friendly, helpful and always willing to help - especially John (a young guy on 2nd floor - helping you with luggage). 2. Location: very convenience with buses. You can take bus #8 to Dadong Hai (beach) for 2 RMB, bus #25 to Yalong Bay for 7 RMB or bus #15 to Guanyin of Nanshan for 10 RMB. If you cross the street from the hotel you will see the Sanya Beach. This beach is where the local people go - there are singing and dancing performances happen all day long. To me Yalong Bay is the prettiest. 3. The room and hotel overall is ok.

Delay in getting room and stupid toilet blinds
Well our check in was significantly delayed even when we already arrived later than the check in time. The toilet blinds are also utterly useless and stupid, whoever ordered those dumb blinds need their head checked. While you can barely see inside the toilet when there is daylight, you can see everything inside the toilet at night. Who wants to see someone else take a dump?

Hotel is a bit dated. Renovation has been haphazard. Upkeep has not been adequately maintained and there is a general feeling of neglect here. First room we had smelled bad...we had to change rooms. I would rate this hotel 3.5 at most.

Good hotel smells bad
Overall the stay was good. The hotel is great, the employees speak no English. It was very difficult checkin and out. It was very difficult asking questions or getting any service.

great hotel but far away
as a hotel is great. However please note is just a hotel, not a resort. If you are looking to relax in Santa I would suggest to go stay in Yalong Bay, is the centre of everything. Not much to do around this hotel. Along bay is around 45 minutes to an hour from the hotel you need to take the bus across the road, bus 25. Hotel as it is is good, good room, big, however our main complaint was that housekeeping did not come for 3 days. We had to ask for them to come. If we were out they will put a note saying "sorry we missed you" which is weird, isn't house keeping meant to clean the room when the guest is out. So we ended up having to call and them cleaning whilst we had to wait in the room. One day we had to call 3 times over the period of 8 hours for someone to actually show up. Other issue was someone was dragging furniture in the room above every morning from 7:50 am for at least an hour, so that woke us up everyday, that is unacceptable. Other than that the hotel just as a hotel is good, however not much of holidaying place, good just for sleeping or if you are there for business.

Much better than Shengyi Holiday Villa
My husband and I switched to this hotel after we stayed just down the road at the Shengyi Holiday Villa (terrible experience). The good thing about the 4 Points is that it is pretty close to the airport so it wasn't hard to make our return flight. The buffet was also pretty delicious and they left the beer out for us when we were the last one's there (ha). The pool is clean but it is kind of awkwardly out in the reception area/drive up, which is uncomfortable if you are walking out in your swimsuit. The room itself is quite nice and clean, and the bathroom is lovely with a separate tub and shower. The cons: this hotel is on Sanya bay, which is VERY dirty, and unswimmable. We asked our Chinese waitress if she would swim out there and she told us Sanya bay is where they dump the sewage (yuck!) We had to take a 60rmb cab ride to Yulong bay in order to experience a nice beach atmosphere. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend for it's cleanliness, price, and food options.

Great location, good value, excellent staff
For the room, I booked the most basic room (comfort room) from the many room choices that they have. At first I thought the room would be not that great but I actually found it spacious and was designed with taste. The room was mid-level (8th floor of 29) and had a view of the city. For the hotel and the facilities, I will give the 9 points out of 10. From the airport, it will take you about 20-30 minutes. It is comfortably located in Sanya City and had a good view of Sanya beach. There was a pool which I didn't get a chance to use because of the weather. The fitness centre at the basement floor had sufficient machines and is open 24 hours. Cold bottled water is available for free. I also got a chance to try all the dining options offered by the hotel. They have a restaurant that offers western and oriental cuisine, a Japanese restaurant, a seafood restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a skylounge where they serve beer and a lobby lounge for coffee and dessert. Price though is high compared to eating out. By the way, I booked through expedia and got a good deal plus since I'm an SPG member, I was given free breakfast for all three nights I booked.
