“Great hotel on Paulista Ave”

I needed good room service as I stayed in the hotel to recover from a minor surgery, and I surely had it (food was light and delicious and served on time). Room and bathroom were great, bed was super comfy. People at check-in counter were very nice and polite. I was very satisfied with the hotel! Also, it is much cheaper than other hotels in the area which offer the same level of quality (such as Renaissance in Alameda Santos). And it is close to Livraria Cultura... I was born in Sao Paulo and has always considered this to be the best area to stay in town.

Area recommendations

Paulista Avenue - close to Livraria Cultura (one of the best and most comprehensive bookshops in SP) and great cinema, restaurants, shops, bars, and services in general (banks, pharmacies). Great for everyone: businessmen, tourists in general, and also GLS travellers as it is close to gay areas with great bars and restaurants. Itaim - if you are into exploring the more "yuppie" side of SP. Very upmarket, great bars and restaurants. One of the most sophisticated shopping malls of SP is here (Iguatemi). Vila Madalena - not known for displaying hotels! But a great area to go out at night. It used to be more bohemian, nowadays dining options are a bit more expensive. You can easily take a cab from the Paulista Ave area, for example, to go there. Baixa Augusta - close to Paulista Ave area. I hear it is booming now, used to be a bit abandoned (such as areas in London´s East End). Beach - don´t miss the opportunity to rent a car and go to Sao Sebastiao (Juquehy, Maresias, Ilhabela). You won´t regret!

“Poor hotel”

This is not what I expected. This hotel isn't linked to the other Brazilian Caesar Park hotels and it is a poor imitation! The room was noisy due to water pipes, beds were of hostel quality, breakfast was fruit and bread... All in all not a business hotel!! The surrounding neighborhood is dangerous, a friend of mine almost got mugged during our stay. Don't stay here!!
