Service friendly! Business perfect!

I had some trouble with the WiFi and critical being there on business and working pretty much night and day - but the staff were really committed to getting it sorted and finally installed my own personal router in the room. Super-friendly competent staff at the front desk. Water and electricity was off between 1am and 5:30am for one evening - but plenty of warning, and torches issued to all guests. Used the meeting room facilities - and all went well, the lunch was superb. Breakfast in Brazil is fruitilicious! Rascal is my favourite restaurant in Brazil and its around the corner from this hotel. Plenty of restaurant and food options a walk away. Guest parking is expensive - so if you are using it for meetings - might be useful to look for cheaper parking alternatives nearby. LOVE the bathrooms in this hotel. Full showers and a separate tub. No complaints! Stayed here before and will definitely stay again.

Centrally located in a good area

Cons: The room and bathroom will need an upgrade shortly
Location: A short ride from Oscar Freire Street which has great shops and coffee bars
It was rather frustrating that during our entire stay our wireless connection was too weak to use in our room

Good location, great staff

Pros: Bed, gym
Cons: Wifi was terrible
Location: Great location, one street away from avenida Paulista.
The hotel was well located in the more affluent part of São Paulo. The gym was very good. The staff were very helpful. We had a minor issue with breakfast where they didn't register it as included on check in, but this was resolved. Wifi reception in room was terrible.

best breakfast in town

Cons: problem booking through expedia where they don't have a record of the payment either for the room or for the breakfast. Resolved but took time.
spacious room, even had a small balcony. excellent lobby bar with very friendly bar staff. Breakfast is the best meal of the day, did not try dinner in the restaurant. Decent health club in basement.

Total comfort in great location

Pros: Reliability and room comfort.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: One block to Paulista Ave, and explore shopping. The highly rated Museum of Art Sao Paulo is nearby, though I admit not being awed by the collection.
The Jardins area of Sao Paulo is an ideal location for most business travelers, and is more upscale with many great restaurants and plenty of shopping in the area. The Intercontinental is in the middle of the area, great location. The hotel itself is exactly what you'd expect from an Intercontinental, in terms of quality of accommodation and services. It's a solid choice for all travelers.
