Nice room, mediocre breakfast

Pros: The rooms
Cons: The breakfast ands the lifts
Location: Nearish to some decent eateries
The rooms in this hotel are excellent as is the cleaning etc. The lifts are sometimes temperamental. But the breakfast does need improvement. The same scrambled eggs every day; the same fruit salad made (I suspect) from the previous day's left over fruit. The same unhealthy bacon.

I used US Toll Number 877. The hotel insisted the toll number is only 800. As the result, I was charged $100 for a phone call.

The staff is very nice and courteous. The hotel is clean and tidy. Perfect for a business trip. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Great hotel but watch the door.

Pros: They all can communicate in English and are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Please: knock on the door and wait to hear back from guests without invading the room.
Location: Place is awesome and so is the neighborhood. All is close and easy to access.
It was a great and pleasant time I spent at Tryp Hotel. Just that the service room to stock the fridge doesn't actually wait for you to open the door: they enter after knocking at once. I was surprised twice, half naked, with personal entering the room although I yelled to wait. Aside of that, I can't remember having such a pleasant time in a hotel as I did.

Nicely surprised with an awesome view

Pros: The staff, especially the night crew in the hotels restaurant.
Cons: Not much. Happy with everything.
Location: If you're all about luxury, the location is not for you. If you're about experiencing local flavor, stop and book you're room now!
My airline caused a delay in my trip and I feared the hotel wouldn't hold my room, so I called when I landed for my layover in Panama City. The process of communicating was difficult. When I finally arrived at 2am local time, I was terrified that my telephone efforts had gone wayside, and I wasn't going to have a room. Wrong! From the moment I checked in, my experience was amazing. Location was perfect for local charm and a high end mall (Shopping Patio Higienopolis). Staff was so friendly and attentive. Room was clean and modern with only one hiccup, a slow draining sink. My view was of the neighborhood, with a balcony for my morning cup o' coffee. My sisters view was of the city. Amazing! One piece of advise, make sure you see an itemized bill before tipping. It's automatically added and you will over tip. Not just at the hotel, but everywhere in Brazil. Obrigado TRYP!

Location: good restaurants and the classy shopping center very close - walking distance.
