Good for an overnight stayPosted Jul 23, 2012
Pros: big room
Cons: no car park
Location: fairly central to town
We booked a family room which had a double and a single bed in the main room and a single in the entrance. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and bedding in good condition. The bathroom was in need of updating but everything worked! The hotel (and room) is fairly old and tired looking inside and in need of an update but we only needed it for an overnight stay and for that it was reasonably priced and practical. The breakfast had a decent choice and the staff were friendly. There isn't a car park. We arrived late so were lucky to find a space outside the hotel (on a meter during the day) but I don't know if it is busier during the day.

Great for overnight stayPosted Sep 28, 2007
We overnighted at this hotel when collecting wine from this region in Sept 2007. It is ideally placed in the city centre and close to bars and restaurants. We had a 3 bedded room and it was fine for an overnight stopover. We thought it might be noisy as it was at a road junction but the room had shutters and good double glazing so noise didn't bother us. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel although they had a buffet. We really enjoyed our stay and would do it again.

Does what it says on the tinPosted Aug 28, 2007
Located adjacent to the main railway station, this hotel won't win any prizes, but if you are looking for a clean bed for an overnight stop in Macon, then it's fine. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room sparsly furnished in the usual French provincial hotel style, and when we stayed smelled strongly of fresh paint. Traffic noise could be a problem to some when the weather is hot. However, rates are reasonable, so you get what you pay for.
