Pretty far outside of Eden

Posted Apr 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
The little cabin itself was lovely. We loved being right near the beach. However this location is several miles outside of Eden and there is no easy way to get to the active downtown part. There was no one to check us in after 5pm and we were really on our own. We were supposed to have internet and free breakfast and got neither. Nice facility but poor service and no freebies brings my score down.

Shame I wasn't there longer

Pros: Everything you need in the cabin
Cons: Make sure you check reception hours with the resort directly before arrival
Location: Eden is full of promise although out of season it may be a little limited
To say that my biggest issue with the stay was that my expedia booking had the wrong reception hours printed on it probably tells you all you need to know - however this wasnt a problem for the staff who were more than happy to help get me sorted out with my chalet. Despite being the closest chalet to the road that didn't seem to be a problem for me. The chalet had covered parking right next to it, a very efficient reverse cycle air conditioner the place was lovely and warm in fairly short order (my visit was winter time) and in the morning the bathroom had hot spots to keep you comfy as you get out. The bedrooms were neat and suited to a much longer stay if needed (mine was only one night) - the kitchen well equipped and all in good working order. Given the timing of my stay nights come in early and the TV had a good selection of channels too. Would happily stay again and recommend to others, it's only 'downside' is also an upside - it is about 7km from the town but you probably have transport even if it's a hire car so it's no big deal. My other regret is not getting on to the beach a little earlier (before dusk) to fully appreciate it.

Pictures are mis-leading.

The photo's would lead you to believe that its is a hotel but it is not. It is a caravan site. The pool was literally green it was so dirty. Would not recommend this place especially given the price and the availability of cheap motels (perfect for a stop over stay) in the locality.

Thank you for your feedback, we value your input and would like to take this opportunity to clarify a couple of your points. We acknowledge your concerns that you thought Twofold Bay was a hotel. Unfortunately at times we are restricted to what categories our property is displayed. For example, there is not always an online category for Holiday Parks. Twofold Bay Beach Resort has a variety of accommodation options to suit all travellers such as Caravan & Camping Sites plus Villas & Cabin style accommodation. The Park also has numerous resort style facilities such as Beach frontage, swimming pool, tennis court and more. The swimming pool has a green liner which gives the appearance of a turquoise pool instead of blue. Please be assured that the pool is checked and cleaned regularly as per Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

Loved it.

Resort is off on its own in a beautiful location. It is an RV park with cabins for the hotel rooms. Everything was great, but make sure to get supplies for use in the kitchen or prepare for 15-20 min drive to Eden.
