There is a shopping mall and train station just behind the hotel but I don't have the chance to shop. But it is far from the main shopping mall (Daimaru) and all the restaurants at the central. It is about 20mins by train from the hotel.

A hidden gem in Shin-SapporoPosted Feb 9, 2013
Pros: The room and the Bakery
Cons: Couldn't find English instructions for all the Air Conditioner functions
Location: Very easy walk less than 50m from Shin-Sapporo station North exit, well signed. And this was in the middle of winter with 2 kids and 3 big bags.
A real hidden gem. Didn't expect much 20mins by train from downtown Sapporo, but was delighted with the service, the hotel and the staff. We were also given an upgrade to a Junior Suite which for a family of 4 travelling in Japan, was paradise. This room was much more roomy than most in Japan and had great views from the 26th floor. Special mention goes to the in house Bakery on the ground floor for the magnificent breads and pastries freshly baked. The lovely lady running the shop also made the BEST coffee I had in Japan over a 10day trip! We loved everything about this hotel, and would be more than happy to stay again, even with the train...which we also enjoyed!

Cloase to Train stationsPosted Nov 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
Everything about the hotel was great. The only issue I had was the aircondition was turned off in the hotel during the winter so the room was very hot and stuffy. It would have been ok if you could open the window to let the air in but the windows were sealed. other than this issue my stay was very nice and have no other complaints. Staff very professional.

Sheraton in Shin-SapporoPosted Feb 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
This Hotel is very close to Shin-Sapporo station(10min by JR-Line to Sappor) and Subway (18 min to Odori Station). Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast costs 1800 Yen, Buffet style infront of a chappel entrance in the building an a side sitting area. Windows can not be open
