Ideal hotel for visiting Sarajevo

Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: Extremely convenient for visiting all the main sights of Sarajevo. Helpful, friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Relatively cheap. Good basic breakfast
Cons: Some people may find tram noise disturbing but there were rooms at the back away from this. Tea ,coffee making facility in room would be nice.
Location: Located in heart of old town with mosques, churches, shops, cafes, main historical sights within walking distance. Day trips to war tunnel and tours.
I stayed here with a friend for two nights at the start of our holiday and another night at the end. Small modern hotel on a main street with a back entrance that led straight into the heart of the old town. Very clean comfortable rooms and well looked after. Generous breakfast buffet more than adequate for a small hotel unless you want a lot of cooked food. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff who seem keen to help guests make the most of their visit. We learnt a lot from asking questions and began to understand more about the recent Balkan war and its effect on Sarajevo. Also went on a 'war tour' arranged by the hotel which was worthwhile. We stayed in the front top attic room for the first two nights and a room below for the last night. Trams run on the main road below and although aware of them for the first night , as we arrived late, after that we took little notice. The free pick up from the airport was very helpful as we arrived late and it was raining heavily.

It's close to the Vatican just 5 minutes walk!

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Just the owner he is accomodating thats it.
Cons: Food, room, bed, toilet.
Location: This is a bed and breakfast the neighbor is rude and horrible to the guest.
If u want to be close to the Vatican then this is the right choice, however dont expect the comfort from a hotel. Food is inadequate just bread, juice and coffee which is limited just for 1 person. Everything is walking distance and it is not neccessary to stay close to the Vatican.

Dear Rey, It seems you wanted to comment some other hotel, but instead, the comment ended up here - we are in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Would you be so kind and remove the comment. Thank you. Kind regards, Senad

Cozy hotel in the historic part of town

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: The staff. From the receptionist to the cleaning staff. Everyone was looking to make our stay enjoyable.
Cons: The breakfast could have more variety. But I don't think they have a real kitchen, so I know it would have been difficult to serve scrambled eggs.
Location: Down the street from City Hall, Hotel Konak is a short walking distance from everything in Stari Grad. Museums, religious sites, historical sites...
Hotel Konak is small, but very welcoming. Our room was clean, perfectly sized, and equipped with adequate air conditioning. The staff is delightful, helpful, and immensely knowledgable. Tea, coffee, and snacks are available all day, which is great if you're coming in and out and need a nice place to take a refreshment. This place is a gem!

Good value hotel in the centre of the Old Town

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Staff were fantastic, very warm and accommodating. They also spoke very good English. Organised a tour for the day which was done through the hotel- the guide was excellent. Rooms were very clean with all the amenities necessary (surpassed my expectations for a 3 star hotel). Breakfast was simple but good. Would happily recommend.

The stay was great - the hotel was nice and the staff very friendly, we also took the city tour with the hotel which was good and gave a good insight into Sarajevo's war past. The location is perfect for looking around the old town. Breakfast was basic but also an unexpected surprise. Thanks for a great stay.

Great, family run hotel in the centre of Sarajevo. Perfectly located for all the sights, really nice rooms and incredibly friendly and helpful service. Only thing that could be improved is the selection at breakfast time. Overall, this comes highly recommended.
