If you like large rooms this could be for you.....Posted Sep 11, 2012
Quirky hotel in Sarajevo with large rooms and generally high levels of comfort but lacked the finishing touches in terms of quality of fittings in bathroom and consumables. Breakfast was also disappointing. Generally a very friendly service offered.

Real CharacterPosted Apr 8, 2011
We loved this hotel. It was a little quirky, and homey, and our room was very large and comfortable. We had on the larger rooms with balcony, and it was comfortable and a little weird. The bathtub was very small, and we had to walk up from the fourth floor to the fifth because the elevator stops at four. But if like a place with character and charm, you might like this as much as we did.

Comfortable and still the real SarajevoPosted May 5, 2010
The hotel is located up one of the hillsides that climb from the old city of Sarajevo. It's a steep 5-10 min walk from all the old city action, further if you want to go the the newer districts but taxis are cheap and it is a pleasant city to walk. The hotel is almost hidden in a neighbourhood still showing the effects of the last war. It seems sketchy but is not! The hotels rooms are large and comfortable with all you would expect in terms of heating/cooling, beds and bathroom facilities. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Some may be less so but I put that down to their uncertainty in English. Breakfasts were adequate - plenty of food, a variety but no fresh fruit. The staff gave me good advice on what to see and do, although I planned a trip with a wonderful tour guide - Jadranka - before I left home. On leaving, the staff came to the taxi taking me to the airport and insisted he turn on his meter! Great service. And the price was excellent. I am gald I did not follow the review of the previous Expedia reviewer. I did look up the hotel. It is not mentioned in many guides but where it is it is seen as a hidden gem.
Nightmare in SarajevoPosted Dec 7, 2009
Stay away from this hotel in Sarajevo. Although the rooms are large and comfortable, the service is terrible. The elevator has been broken for months, and there is no receptionist after 9pm. This turned into a total nightmare for me, since I was foolish enough to ask the hotel to check on the status of my flight to Vienna. I was concerned it might be canceled due to fog. The hotel receptionist left at 9pm and the following morning I was called by someone to say that my flight was cancelled. In fact, no information had been passed to the evening receptionist who thought I was flying back to Belgrad. As a result I wasted 600 EUR and almost a full day to take another flight. And then when the manager finally showed up at 2PM he accused me of lying and said that they hotel doesn't provide this service to guests. And that's a 4 star hotel?? Not in my book. The only thing that is 4 star is the price.
