Great place to stay.

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Great room and service.
Cons: Noise from bar next door.
Location: The Beachhouse had excellent food. Also liked Oma pizza.
Very nice room and had everything we needed (stayed in room with a kitchen). Close to the beach and we had a great view of the Gulf. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Only downside was the Island Bar next door- we have two children and the noise did not end until bar closing. It was a little hard for them to get to sleep.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our property. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us at Bridgewalk. Bridgewalk is located on Bridge St., which is where many people come to eat, play and shop. Bridgewalk is not a location for those seeking solitude. There are places on Anna Maria Island that offer that, however, if you are looking to be centrally located where you can walk to shops, restaurants (with live music), a fishing pier, putt putt golf and have access to the beach then Bridgewalk is your location. Although Bridgewalk may not have fit your expectations, as one can see from many others, that it is a happen' place and we know that many, many people love it here! We sure hope that you will visit Anna Maria Island again and we would be happy to help you find a location with more solitude the next time.

Quality accommodation, excellent location

Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable, quality accommodation. Breakfast was included, good choice of food, well stocked and lovely staff.
Cons: Prior notice of the location of the room re the noise so that we could have made an informed choice.
Location: Across the road from a beautiful sand beach. Lots of great places to eat. Free trolley that runs along the Island.
Stayed here for 4 nights in the Queen Palm Building. We received a warm welcome in reception from Sherie, check in was quick and were then shown to a parking spot right by our room by the attendant. The beds were extremely comfortable, the shower was enormous and the mini kitchen was adequate. Lovely clean room although it was a little bit tight for space when the wall bed was in use. The location was great, just across the road from a fabulous beach and the room came with beach chairs for you take with you. The only negative point was that our room backed on to the US Mail depot and we were woken early hours every morning by the shifting of crates of mail so unless you are one of these people that are able to sleep through anything you may be disturbed. Everyone staying in that building would have heard the noise so I would be surprised if someone hadnt complained, we chose not to because we felt that the hotel would not be able to change it.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay despite the issue with the post office behind your building. We have ordered and are scheduled to replace the exterior windows in these units with double paned, sound proof windows that we believe will keep this from being an issue in the future.

AWESOME HOTEL AND STAFF!!!

Sherry at the front desk was super sweet and very helpful. Carole fed us great food every morning. It was in an awesome location. Everything was within walking distance. If you like venturing out just jump on the trolley. We had a fabulous time.

We so love our staff like Sherry and Carole. They, along with our other staff members from top to bottom are what make us successful, thank you for mentioning them by name. We look forward to you visiting us again at this great location we call Bridgewalk!

Super noisy room with no where to sit.

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Location: Right on Bridge Street on AnnaMaria Island - it was in the center of all the activity, so that was nice. We were able to pretty much walk wherever.
We stayed in a Queens Suite room. One of the beds was a murphy bed, which when up created a lot of nice space. The problem was that there was literally no where to sit in the room besides the beds. Also, the back of our room faced the loading dock to post office...guess what they do every morning beginning around 5 am, they load and unload trucks. It was super noisy. Those 2 issues spoiled the room for us. Other than that, it would have been a fairly nice place to stay.

I am so sorry that your experience with us was less than great. The room you rented is our smallest and least expensive room on the property and just doesn't allow seating beyond the beds, desk and outside seating. However, this room type only represents 4 out of 28 of our rooms. A majority of our rooms at Bridgewalk are over 800 square feet with plenty of space. Please consider one of the other 24 rooms when you book with us again. Also, we are in the process of replacing all of the windows with noise proof windows and we are working with the post office that you mentioned to minimize the sound of their deliveries.

Very clean room, good mattresses, great location.

My wife and I (in our 60's) stayed for three days. Nothing fancy but very comfortable and clean, with a location that can't be beat. Just having a parking place in the heart of town is a big plus. Nice ocean-side restaurant nearby.. Would definitely stay there again if in that area. Our room had a queen and a pull down queen. No sitting area in the room beside the beds.
