Overpriced during High Season

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Nothing; I hated it.
Cons: Needs to be updated throughout with new carpeting.
Location: Near Siesta Key beach.
We stayed overnight on 4/3/15 due to a 5K race that we participated in on Siesta Key. Upon entering the hotel, we noticed the hallways and stairways smelled horrible. Our window was open when we entered our room. I notified the front desk about this, and the receptionist said it was open to air out the odors from the cleaning chemicals. The carpet in the room was dirty (white socks got soiled from walking around the rom). The sheets had dirt on them. The breakfast was being put away 5 minutes earlier than the breakfast closing time. This hotel needs to be updated (green and brown carpeting throughout). I got 4 bed bug bites on my upper leg that I believe happened while staying at this hotel. I can honestly say that this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Awkward location but a fair price

Posted May 21, 2015
Hotel was older, and it showed. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable for the price. There was a funny smell that lingered in the hallways, but we couldn't smell it in the room itself so it didn't bother us. The breakfast bar was a little cheap, with disposable plates and plastic utensils.

Comfort and Convenience

This was a Mother's day gift for my Aunt and Grandmother from Alabama. They enjoyed the comfort of the hotel. The convenience to I75 and the local beaches.

Get what you pay for.

The hotel was exactly what I expected for $81 a night. Not much sound canceling between rooms, old squeaky beds, poor water pressure, not great breakfast. Waffle and yogurt were the best bets. The staff was friendly and helpful though.

Nothing Special

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Spend a little more to get greater comfort. There was no dresser to put clothes in, and not enough places to plug in and charge electronics. Information rack was in the back hallway instead of in the front lobby - so bizarre! It took several days to get the bathroom sink faucet repaired - when we arrived the faucet handle came off in my hand - doesn't anybody check these rooms ever? Breakfast was terrible and we passed.

Teach staff how to vacuum

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Rugs old, ugly, and stained. Toilet ran on and off all night. Corners and edges of carpet were disgusting. Teach staff how to vacuum a rug. No sign at the street- found it behind a Burger King.

Only a layover place

Pros: The one thing I could say nice about the hotel is that the interstate was right there and it was easy on & off.
Cons: It just needs some good management and some training of staff & housekeeping.
The first room I got when I when in the bed was tilted because it only had (3) legs.. Also the room had someone's property still on the floor. I told the front desk and they blamed the housekeepers.
