Nice older hotel

Great location-very near beautiful Siesta Key. Not up-to-date. Tub leaked all night. Air conditioner in wall above bed. Made for a noisy drafty night. Paint peeling in tub. Nice pool.

Great! Except for very unhelpful desk person Don!

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Cons: Need new toilet seat
Location: Not as close to beach as hoped..All the beachfront hotels have gated access and it is nxt to impossible to access the water without staying there.
Very nice efficiancy room, which was clean..No problems or worries except the late evening noise from the pool if you are staying on that side. I found all of the front desk help to be helpful and nice..except the evening guy..Don! The night before my morning check out I spent 20 minutes on the "guest internet station" stating that I was having problems and needed help printing boarding passes for the am flight" Not only did he not help (he was doing nothing) but allowed me to leave without the boarding passes! Another desk clerk finally helped me in the am before leaving.

Pros: Perfect location and close to shopping.
Cons: It's an older building but the inside was great.
Location: Beach 5 minutes away. Food shopping and Mall 7 minutes. Pool was clean and had a grill if you chose.
I was coming from the East coast and it was easy to find. Check in was fast and very friendly. Room was super clean and kitchen was just what we needed.

nice hotel economically priced

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: staff, price for quality
Location: convenient to dining, beach, nice 5 mile walk round trip to Siesta key inlet lot and back (my walk in the mornings)
saved a lot of money and got all the conveniences close by. Very friendly staff. Came for a week of baseball so we were close to team members who stayed in higher priced hotels and not far from our fields either. Would do it again and save the money for other things!

Very close to Access 12 - not main beach.

Great stay- room, bathroom, air conditioning, kitchen, towels, linens- all clean. Good mattress and pillows. Cute pool with grill. Right on main road so lots of traffic. Parking is close to room entrance. Took a long time to check in- the process is too complicated. No one was ahead of me either, but she did let me check in to the room an hour early.

Never again!

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: The room plan is very nice, the staff, for the most part are pleasant and friendly. The location is good.
Cons: New microwave, clean sheets every other day. Sweep the floors and dust vents, fans etc.
Location: You can walk to the beach and several shops and restaurants if you don't want to drive.
Filthy toilet - plugged. Reported it and 4 hours later we returned to the same condition. My husband went back to the office and was told it was snaked twice and worked several times. so basically they didn't believe him. He requested another room. We left for a few more hours and when we got back the toilet was fixed so we stayed in the room. Very dusty ceiling fans, lamp shades and vents. Put out sign requesting maid service but all they do is give clean towels, never changed our sheets. We tried to use the microwave but it didn't work. Only had 1 spoon and two knives (shb service for 4). Went to the office to get more utensils and use their microwave and report ours broken. Had to report it everyday for 5 days but they never fixed it. The so called "updated suites" must have been in back in 1990....old gold fixtures in bath, shower knob was so loose you had to play with it to get it to work. I would never stay there again! It's too bad because with a little TLC it would be a nice place as the room set up is good. They need a staff that cares about cleanliness!

A GREAT LOCATION, WITHIN EASY REACH OF SIESTA KEY. A FABULOUS BEACH AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE, THERE ARE PLACES TO PARK FREE OF CHARGE BUT YOU HAVE TO GET THERE EARLY. WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN, THERE ARE NO RESORT FEES AT THE HIBISCUS SUITES, STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND VERY ACCOMODATING.

Cons: A/C vents in the bedroom
The only negative about this hotel is there are no A/C vents in the bedroom. There are ceing fans in both rooms. Otherwise it has all the amentites of an efficincy Apt.

Plumbing issues.

Posted Apr 29, 2015 on Hotels
The room was amply appointed for us and our two teenage grandsons. The plumbing, however, was terrible. The toilet backed up and both the shower and sink had blocked drains. The pool was great and the location fine.
